Season Three Comes to an End

Welp. It's finally over. By tomorrow morning, Forty-four episodes of Final Fantasy VIII will be fully released on the early access feed. Thanks to everyone for your support during another great season that led to many hits, such as "my husband, cowboy" and many others. FFVIII was not my first pick for the Final Fantasy season, but I think it turned out to be the best choice for our format. It's weird, it has plenty of character work, and at times it goes beyond the surreal, even for a Final Fantasy.

Retrograde Amnesia started off as a weird idea for a one-off series that suddenly became A Thing We Continue To Do into perpetuity, and we have you to thank for the support and engagement. Retrograde Amnesia has evolved into one of the most meaningful things I have ever done, and I cannot thank you enough for making it happen. (Eric would probably agree but this stream-of-consciousness post does not have to stop and ask for a comment)

Anywho!

For those new around here, you can sub to the early access feed by going to the membership tab, grabbing the RSS feed, and putting it into any podcast app that accepts custom RSS feeds. You'll also get whatever bonus episodes that are applicable to your tier.

Please look forward to Explain Final Fantasy VIII to Normal People, releasing this Wednesday, and hear us say our goodbyes to FFVIII by explaining the entire plot to our wives over the course of several bewildering hours and several hot dogs.

As you may know, Suikoden is next. We're deep into the recording process for the first game with about seventeen episodes in the can. Our next record session will cover the Dragon's Den portion of the game, so hop on Discord if you'd like to join the fun (we post the schedule there). I think the series is turning out great. Suikoden has plenty of oddities to fill a podcast that particularly enjoys oddities. Eric had never played Suikoden, so experiencing his raw, bewildered reaction has been an excellent feature of Season Four.
