Today we're not appearing on the world map, recreating 90's cityscapes, fighting walking dragons, marveling at asphalt, manipulating Zeboim culture, using war as a solution to infertility, reading insane lore magazines, winning NBA grand slams, buying Joe-brand parts, purchasing drugs, living through another year, getting outrageously upset at dinner, concluding it won't work, making it work, producing a nanomachine child, and growing into a nanomachine adult. I am a creature waiting to become extinct.

2020-10-05 13:33:11 +0000 UTC56:00 Yeah, I actually really liked this scene too, and it's one of my favorites in the game. That said, yeah, Emeralda kind of became an absolute afterthought in a way, and if you think about it too deeply (which I don't like to do because for so much of the game she IS a child) what lies ahead of her is really dark/fucked up - in effect, she's the brood mare of humanity for the planet. Even if it's easier for her/there's a way she can do it without her body being violated (e.g. she throws in hair clippings with someone else's bodily material etc), her only purpose that is implied is... to spawn more people as essentially Eve.
