Future Factors of FATE, or An August Update

Hello,

We're currently working on the upcoming Chrono Cross series. We've got four episodes recorded, with another few planned for this evening. We've already been able to get the first one edited and finalized, so you cool people on the $3 tier and above will get a preview on Wednesday, 8/26 on your Patreon feed. The official start of the series will be shortly after the Xenogears series ends, but we won't have a firm date until we gauge our progress over the course of the next several weeks.

Of course, everyone is welcome to come listen to us mess up and over-pontificate during the live recording sessions on Discord. Recording in front of a small (virtual) audience is something we never thought would be possible one year ago, but it's been a tremendous amount of fun and we thank those who have joined us. If you're interested in joining, please check out this post.

Speaking of tiers, we are retiring the $1 tier. This does not impact current members of the $1 tier. You will continue to get early access episodes just like normal. For new patrons, we are moving the early access benefit to the $3 tier. Please understand that we are doing this to 1) simplify the structure and 2) because we feel like the podcast is better than half a Snickers.

As I've mentioned in the past, the $3 tier is evolving a bit. We're not going to put out a bonus episode on Chrono Cross monthly like we did for the better part of the Xenogears run. This isn't really a sustainable model in terms of the time it takes and the available non-Xeno material.

Instead, we will plan in-depth bonus episodes as various topics become relevant during the run of the podcast. Similar to the Gazel Ministry episode, we want these to be in-depth tangents on CC-adjacent topics that we can't cover fully during the main run, so feel free to shoot us ideas. Of course, additional Xenogears bonus episodes are still on the table as well.

Don't forget to check out the Terranigma miniseries. I highly recommend that you play Terranigma should you have the time. If you need a ROM, hit me up on Discord or Twitter.

As always, thanks for the support!

Stay well, be good, kill god.

-Chris
