This time we're dealing with the implications of Citan as party leader, finding Zeal in Xenogears, developing some suspicious Dan suspicions, meeting Id and wondering gosh what the heck is an Id, watching heroes come out of the rafters, LOOKING AT STONE'S FACE OR LACK THEREOF, clarifying a "fake awakening," questioning Grahf's motivations, doing bong rips with Citan, desiring a Jessie manga, laughing at Stone self-identify as an incel, noting the absurdity of suicide Gears, and observing the second amendment. All of this power is fake.

I didn't put it together either. My friend who was an artist said he recognized Id as being Fei right away because they have the exact same facial structure. But he said that didn't make it any less interesting because it didn't explain *why* Fei transformed into Id. Was he a demon? Multiple personalities? Some kind of technology?

2020-03-17 11:31:29 +0000 UTCI don't remember precisely where, but very early in my first playthrough I began to suspect that fei had another personality. I saw the Id fight to be a very stylish way of confirming my suspicions, the techniques and deathblows that he used in the fight were a great way of putting that final nail in the coffin for me. its one of those storytelling devices that works particularly well in videogames because of the emotional connection you develop with the mechanics and techniques., moves you loved using against the enemy this whole time, get turned on you and its heart wrenching.
