Bolt Fish

crowned as the fastest sea creature in the world, Bolt fish is a small open sea fish with a head and body that resemble an arrow. Its swimming speed can reach 100 mph, but the organ just behind its gills can expand and quickly expel out a strong stream of water to catapult itself forward to reach an incredible speed of 200 mph. It uses its sharp and incredibly sturdy arrow-like head and its speed to pierce through its prey to either kill it instantly, make it bleed out, or jam itself into the prey’s body and begin eating it from the inside. It hunts in groups that can number more than 50. It’s a ferocious predator that hunts bigger creatures including dolphins, sharks, giant squid, and as their group grows larger they wouldn’t hesitate to target whales and sea serpents. Since they’re living far away in the middle of the Farima Ocean, not many incidents involving sailors have been recorded. The most recent one is when a group of bolt fish attacked an exploration ship and caused heavy damage to the hull, but fortunately, so far no humanoid casualties have been reported.
