Eldran Lore Sketch

Sketches for the Fantasy comic idea continuing from chapter 6... there's a lot of things to clean up mainly the magic system but now some short Elf lore.

High Elves originates from a smaller continent southeast of Eldran but only separated by a strait. An Isolationist long lived race who developed their magic knowledge to an extent beyond the mainland and if it hadn't been for the isolationist policies would be the largest exporter of "magic".

The city of Ilaogo was formed 2 millenia ago when an age of Elves long forgotten and only a large fortress with its twin towers stands. As the ages go by A small community grown outside of the Port attracted by the Bay location and the idea of trade with the elves. Now after a thousand years it stands as the largest and only Elf city in the mainland.

With the largest Elf population in the mainland, the majority of which are Half-Elves of different other races but mostly human hybrids. Followed by Dark Elves whom aren't pure High Elves but are much closer to them than their Half cousins. The Ruling Body and higher society is compose of mostly Dark Elves followed by smaller number of High Elves who made permanent residency.

The most common elf anywhere in the continent is an Half Elf and originates in Ilaogo from the intermingling of High Elves and Drows with other races in a thousand years. Half Elves usually live to a couple hundred at best and Drows well beyond 500 but High Elves can reach to a thousand.

And the city design is of a basic fantasy port and no special elvish flair cause Half Elves are practically just humans extra magic buff nothing else and didn't grow on the culture of the other Elves with their lower lifespan and being born away from their home continent. But two monolithic towers looms over the humble city as the old Fortress stands in a rock formation just past the shore and a bridge connecting them. And it stands as the only sight of the Elven civilization in the mainland.

That's all for some lore I made up in my toilet. I wanted to limit the Elves and magic stuff a bit so making a choice like any good author is either extinction or Isolation. The port city is kinda like a city that prop up near a Military base and thru the locals "mingling" with the base residence created new half raced offsprings.
