The 30% does not go the person you are supporting nor patreon the platform itself. It is a an additional new fee that Apple will have for the transaction itself to you the supporter!
It's best to use Android or Desktop to sign up to the patreon creators you wish to support in the future, and cancelling your Apple Store subscription method.
