A change of scenery

It was a pleasure to meet @leobrooklynbaby a few months ago, and then to finally get to work together! She also runs a blog and we have an interview set up, so stay tuned for more info on that.

I hang out with so many 25 year old models (who are all lovely, btw) but I am excited to surround myself with creators and photographers closer to my age and beyond. I think our mind's eye gets comfortable so easily, and it's good to challenge that a bit. I personally want to see on my feed more grown ass women, with wrinkles, sagging, imperfections and morphing bodies.

I know I've mentioned before, it's so absurd how we sort of expect women to stay the same over decades. Take a look at actresses in their 50's now. And by the way, I fully support people getting whatever plastic surgery they want - but it is wild to see the effects of this expectation on even those with the most influence and power to change that narrative.

I guess some models in my world thrive on changing their look, with new and exciting hair cuts and colors, or makeup and styling that takes them from one character to another.

I'm a classic bitch, and sadly I cannot pull off edgy (and lol I have tried). I'm not "allowed" to change my hair color, but I also like to honor it so that's fine. But in that case, I just have to keep being the same old me! Maybe that's why I got so into lingerie and styling...it's sort of the only thing I can change about myself.
