Updating TheDuchy UX & Core

Hello everyone - We have some exciting news!

Over the past few weeks, we have been working with a development team to improve the user experience (UX) for people visiting TheDuchy via mobile devices. 

This will include:

• A new, improved layout with full-screen pictures and videos
• The ability to swipe to move from one step to the next
• The ability to bookmark your favorites
• A personalize home page with your bookmarked favorites and your last viewed 
• The ability to save the picture & text versions of a tutorial to your device, so that you can access them even if you don’t have a good connection!

The team is working on the updates now. When they are done, we will be inviting members to beta test the new version before the formal launch.

While they are working on that, we are updating & refreshing the core knowledge tutorials -- those found in Rope 101 & 102.  We are adding information and examples, clarifying and expanding on content, and even adding videos where appropriate. Here is the updated content since our last post:

• Choosing Rope - Added detail on rope construction and other topics.  Also added  new affiliate links to Twisted Monk and to Amazon so it is easier to find good versions of different types of rope.
• Half-Hitches - Added a section (video & pics) for using two-half hitches to tie off to an anchor point.  This section provides a more procedural (vs conceptual) way of tying for those people that learn better via procedures.  
• Overhand | Double Overhand - Added a section (pics) on using an OHK to mark your bight when in mid-scene
• Wrap & Cinch Double Column - Total reshoot.  Added a Video as well as pictures.  Added a section on turning it to a load-bearing version.  Left the prior version there as well for reference.
• Lark’s Head Single Column - Total reshoot.  Added a Video as well as pictures.  Updated the procedure to have fewer tail pulls while achieving the same result.  Added more detail to the procedure for people that prefer that extra detail.  Left the prior version there as well for reference.

Over the next few weeks, we will continue to update the Core Material.  After the launch of the new experience, we will shift back to our normal production schedule.
