Today's post features Evelyn from Zenless Zone Zero, who seems to have become a cow Theiren, albeit one with some unexpectedly large body proportions. Side note: I'm 100% sure Astra's popularity would skyrocket if she used this.

Not gonna lie, it’s pictures like this that make me continuously ponder if I’m way too meticulous or just really, really slow when it comes to drawing. Like, even figuring out the pose took me nearly an hour and I’m not sure if it’s several compounding issues like drawing hands and bent arms with perspective or if it’s due to fetish art making me even more attentive to certain aspects. 

For one, there’s the clothing. When it comes to drawing characters growing out of their outfits, I tend to do a lot of guesswork, particularly when it comes to where and how tears form and trying to make them look as natural as possible. Not only that, in this particular case, the myriad of straps and zippers meant I needed to have her burgeoning flesh grow around them. I mean, sure, I could’ve drawn them along her curves, but that’s very amateurish in my opinion, nor does it look as erotic. 

It also doesn’t help that I have a very bad track record of drawing game characters quickly. With the modern aesthetic Zenless Zone Zero has, you wouldn’t expect the outfits to be that detailed. At a glance, Evelyn’s design looks very basic, but then, when you really pay attention, you notice all these extra lines and straps to her design. Not only that, but her model has varying shades of black for some reason. It’d be easy to simply ignore some details, usually intricate designs like tattoos or something, but it makes me self conscious on how faithful I’m being to the character. It’s specifically game characters where this is an issue too, as characters from anime and manga tend to have fewer details for good reason. That said, I’m very happy to have gotten the chance to draw more ZZZ fan art and would definitely like to finish shading this if given the chance.
