Love Connection: The War on Cars edition

Hello friends!! 

Idea for an episode: I have a friend here in [CITY REDACTED] who is constantly dating lots of men and convincing them fairly immediately - like first or second date - to buy a bike and ride public transit. I feel like she is single handedly helping large swaths of our male population to rid themselves of car brain. Even when the relationships don't last, she follows up with them to make sure they're still riding. One of them rode a bike to work for the first time today even though their relationship ended weeks ago. 

How about an episode on dating and romantic relationships, and how they do or don't contribute to The War on Cars? 

I also convinced my partner to buy a bike when we were first dating, and now he's on the board of a bike nonprofit and makes his living hauling food scraps by e-bike around the city for a composting company. 

Of course there's the flip side — when partners won't or can't make the change, and it strains the relationship. What do you do?? 

This email made the three of us smile and got us talking. While we each have our own thoughts, we decided it would be fun to save them for a bonus episode where we answer not just this but as many of your relationship questions as we can.
