I 100% beat the final boss without ever seeing that there was an RPG on the map lol. I just use requiem to blow off the blisters and then use the machine gun to spray out the little ones on the ground.

2026-03-20 20:02:45 +0000 UTCRe9 feels like highest quality brain rot. Presentation wise it’s incredible but man gameplay wise it’s so shallow. Leon especially just looses so much due to the enemy variety being so lame. His progression/upgrades were meaningless. The stalker enemy is a huge step down from Mr.X gameplay wise. They also just introduced so many cool ideas they did nothing with. All the zombie types seem to have some kind of counterpart they were supposed to interact with. Singing lady and guy who doesn’t like loud noise, cleaning lady and blood puddles all over the place, bloater monster that makes blister heads or even the guy who turns the lights off seemed to be foreshadowing the stalker would chase you through the whole hospital and it never happened. I don’t regret my time with it but it’s absolutely a let down. Gorgeous but shallow as a puddle.

2026-03-19 15:26:34 +0000 UTCI can't believe people didn't hate the Grace orphanage parts as much as me where you play as her as a little kid. Huge drop down in quality from the rest of the game. Really took me out. That and the nostalgia plays were a bit much. I found the Mr X boss battle very underwhelming and the game was too easy overall. Maybe I'm just getting too good at survival horror as it's my favorite genre lol RE4>RE2>RE7>RE3>RE9>RE8>RE5>spin offs (revelations/outbreak)>6 (barely played). Never played the others, waiting for remakes!

Idk why he’s misreading this, there are very general videogame things in the game he attributes to a last of us inspiration
