2024-11-19 10:42:21 +0000 UTCI think it doesn't really count because the vast majority of the playerbase are men, or teen boys, and most of them would prefer to play with a dude samurai. There is a reason why the most memorable AC protag is Ezio and ever since the 2nd AC people, me included, were wating to play a game with a cool dude like Ezio again. I will wait to judge the game but making Yasuke a dude that was in Japan for like 1.5 years and left after nobunaga died makes it weird, that he knows Japanese to a level to talk with everyone as if they live in New York and it's an everyday occurance.

2024-11-15 13:39:57 +0000 UTCI kinda agree with the creative write-in, if even only to say that taking risks now are lower than ever. For example, Even Judas is pretty much BioShock again with a different narrative. I still miss PS4. If it could be as strong as the 5 Pro is but keep the 4’s interface and DS4, I’d be happy. I wouldn’t be surprised if consoles go the way of the PC or phones like you said. Then they cut off like 2 gens below when they feel like enough ppl moved on up. The only way I see PS games going over to Switch is if PS has no intention on doing proper mobile hardware. Otherwise, they’re hogging it up like Nintendo does.

2024-11-14 19:43:01 +0000 UTCI’ve always felt like Nintendos ideology towards IP is one IP per genre. Shooter? Splatoon. Fighting game? Smash Bros. Action-Adventure? Zelda. Tactical RPG? Fire Emblem. RTS? Pikmin. That’s why I never really agreed with people saying Nintendo milks the shit out of their franchises. Whereas Sony has Ratchet, Sly, Jak- all left in the past except for Ratchet, and essentially the same genre. Nintendo kinda stopped making multiple IP per genre after SNES. It gets a little complicated when you consider the Mario spinoffs though. It’s like Dragon Quest. Part of the greatness of DQ is its familiarity.

2024-11-14 09:52:14 +0000 UTCPC gaming can be just like console gaming if you want it to be. You don't need to sit in front of a monitor and use a keyboard and mouse. Plug your PC right into your TV, pair a dualsense, turn on big picture mode(if using Steam) and you're golden. That's how most people play on pc. 👍

2024-11-14 01:51:51 +0000 UTCMetaphor really benefits from the pro (stable frame rate). You should give it a try. Ps. The Touch Bar in the controller should have more love. From tlous 2 guitar strumming to ghost of tsushima’s(wind, stowing the katana , bowing and flute) I think its a great addition to the controller but it needs to be better supported.

I know it’s not the ideal platform, but if you’d just want to suffer through it until you get to to the more modern games on PS4, it’s an easier option than digging out a PS3

Btw, Yasuke is pronounced "Yass 'kay" in case you wanna stop tripping up on it lol. I think I and many other black gamers are looking at his inclusion through cautiously optimistic eyes. I hope Shadows is good, but I'll wait for reviews before getting hype.
