This was a challenging one--I realized pretty late in that I drew all of the buckles backwards, except one! Fuck! That's a Coyote Researchers exclusive.
I'd not originally meant to do any kind of a background on this, but I learned a good lesson on one of my first Zootopia drawings--if there's a strong perspective angle on the character and no background to establish reference, it can look like they've just got a disproportionately huge head or something. So the quilted blanket works as a nice stealthy perspective grid here.
I struggled a lot with the colors on this one--it's a friend's character so I didn't want to screw with the natural brown colors too much, but I also want to go kind of experimental with the color. I'm not sure how much of a success it was this time but I'm gonna keep pushing on color and see what I can learn.
