[ANNOUNCEMENT] Sales Tax

Hi all!! I've got some bad news >.< Patreon is rolling out sales tax (something that is required by the law) and this will affect all of us in term of your pledges. For those who are in the EU, you all have already been paying VAT this whole time, 21% added to your pledge amount so you all are already familiar with this system and this new sales tax will not affect you <3

But for those who are not in the EU, yep, you all have to pay sales tax now >.< uwu. See Image1. These are the new countries that will be required to pay sales tax so if you're from these country, you can see how much % you need to top to your pledge monthly starting July >.< For example, you're from the Australia, and you're a Tier10 patron. 10% out of $10 is $1. So instead of being charge $10 like how you are used to, you will now be charge $11. And these taxes that you paid don't go to me or Patreon. They go to the government where you are from.

Most of you are from US and US taxes ranged from 4%-11% depending on your state. I have no overview of the % from Patreon for each state but it will be between these brackets (4-11%). There will be some states where you're not required to pay sales tax (so YAY!) You can check this in Image2. 

It's not up to me but Patreon and Patreon themselves are required by the law to roll this out. I'm so sorry if this will be an inconvenience and an added burden to you, especially in this trying times. So please, do take yourself into consideration and don't worry about me ^^ I'll keep working like I always do and if you have to take time out to sort out your financial, then do so <3 I'm always thankful for all your support and the love you keep throwing my way! <3
