Night visit (part1)

    It was another embassy reception but this was different. There was such a busy schedule for the under-staffed embassy that His Excellency had decided to combine this particular reception for the celebration of National Rain Forest Clearance Day with a "working breakfast," at which his staff would be expected to conduct business as usual. Customarily drinks were served at such receptions & after the uninspiring breakfast, waiters & waitresses duly appeared bearing trays laden with free alcoholic beverages. Marina had arrived with her husband, who had important meetings to attend. It seemed that the first session was to begin that morning & he was amongst several attendees who had to make their excuses. Marina was soon bored by the small-talk & hollow pleasantries she'd heard one hundred times before. She took herself off to a side-room & waited, though making sure to catch the eyes of the staff serving drinks. Many of the young men had no need to be summoned but rather tended to hover close by, which made Marina smile. At length, she decided to take a taxi home & asked one of the receptionists to call one for her. She then gave the young woman a note to pass on to her husband telling him that she'd chosen to go home for a sleep, rather than wait around all day. Marina had consumed so many glasses of whisky that she knew that was her best plan.

   As Marina starts to stir she finds a male figure, a stranger, kneeling beside her. "I've been sent by your husband, [which may or may not be a lie]. Don't be alarmed. He's given me very specific instructions." He puts an index finger gently to her lips & says, "You must not speak. I'll tell you what you need to do. I'll also tell you everything that I'm going to do. I have to report back to your husband on everything. He wants you to wake to a new experience. So now Marina, would you lie on your back & raise your arms above your head? Stretch them up, that's it. I'm going to kiss your right arm from your shoulder to your fingertips. My name....that's not important for the moment. Remember, you mustn't speak......."
