July 2017 Tiers and Milestones Update

Hey everyone! Got a few announcements for future Patreon milestones and the current tiers.

Future Milestones

I wasn't expecting to allow supporters to go over their Gold+ commission value when I was planning my Patreon. Giving you guys the freedom of a higher commission limit has proven to be the right move for client satisfaction and my own income, but it does mean that I have to invest more time into the commissions--this includes time spent discussing details and making revisions. 

Commissions are fun to do, but they put more of a strain on my schedule than I would like. To solve this problem, I'm switching the bulk of future milestone rewards from Commissions and Requests to Voted content instead.

Voted content takes less time to complete since there's no back-and-forth with a client, and it gives more power to the majority of my supporters who wish to help choose what I draw.

$500 (Reached): 10 voted sketches, 10 sketch requests, 2->3 voted color scenes, and 7->6 Platinum commission slots.

$1000 (Almost there!): 12 voted sketches, 12 sketch requests, 3->4 voted color scenes, and 8->6 Platinum commission slots.

$1500: 14->16 voted sketches, 14->12 sketch requests, 3->5 voted color scenes, and 9->6 Platinum commission slots.

$2500: 16->20 voted sketches, 16->12 sketch requests, 3->6 voted color scenes, and 10->6 Platinum commission slots.

To match the increased numbers of voted pictures, the Voting Forms will feature more choices. This means that more suggestions will be selected from the Suggestion Posts!

Tier Clarity Update

In order to make Patreon commissions a little easier to calculate--especially for those who wish to "over-pledge" so you don't have to pay the remainder via Paypal--I've re-worded the Gold+ tiers.

This is just a re-wording, none of the the costs or details of these tiers have changed!

Gold ($30): $35 Commission "Coupon" -> $5 Commission "Discount"

Platinum ($50): $60 Commission "Coupon" -> $10 Commission "Discount"

Diamond ($100): $125 Commission "Coupon"->$25 Commission "Discount"

Now, you can just think of your total commission cost as: "Commission Price" minus "your pledge amount" minus "your Discounts".

Sketch Request Upgrading

The rules for upgrading sketch requests haven't changed, but these upgrades are now full price minus the $5 it costs to submit a request. Sorry that I can't be as generous as I initially planned when it comes to sketch request upgrades, but they are still applicable for the Monthly Themes discount! You can choose to use your Gold+ discount on these upgrades as usual.

Gold+ Slot Resets

I'll be looking into a way to "reset" the Gold+ slots each month after payments are processed. Ideally I would have a "cooldown" system where you must wait a month before getting another slot, but currently there is no practical way to do that. A monthly reset would be next best thing to allow newcomers a chance of getting a Gold+ slot, and I'll make another announcement about it when I have more information.
