Hello, Patrons!

I've been a little lax posting here and I really apologize for that. I've had a lot of life stuff happening and I am only just beginning to find a good balance. This is part of why I haven't officially launched my Patreon. I've posted links to it, so if you're here now, thank you, congratulations and welcome! You're one of my first supporters!

The offline activity has given me a chance to rethink my Patreon structure so I can provide you with the rewards I promised for signing up. I think these rewards will work for me and I hope they work for you, too. Most of these changes are relevant only to my illustration work. The comic work will be more or less unchanged once I start working on comics again.

I'm going on vacation at the end of the month, and then I have a convention table the weekend of Father's Day. So most of these changes will kick in late June 2018.

The short version

All of my finished illustrations will be posted publicly more or less when they're done. Everyone gets to see the final product, patron or not. I will begin posting my finished illustrations here as well as my various social media (Twitter, Tumblr, deviantART, Instagram). That way you'll only need to follow one place to see just about everything I'm making.

You, my Patrons, will get to see the sketches, inks, flat colors, and other process work. I'll have gifs, videos, and sometimes process commentary that explains why I did certain things. Occasionally I will make these public so people can get a taste of what they'll find if they become a patron. 

Think of it like a DVD or Blu-Ray movie. The public gets just the movie. Patrons get the movie, but also get bonus content and extras depending on their tier.

I'm going to go through tier-by-tier so you can see at a glance what, if anything, changed. 

$1 Tier

Y'all are awesome and starting in June I'll begin producing a small set of unique Patreon-exclusive Sparrow character icons each month.

$2 Tier

When I post a finished illustration to the public, Patrons at this tier will also get to see my progress pics. You'll get sketches, inks, flats, and any other miscellaneous process work I think is interesting. 

Sometimes this will come as an animated gif or a video. Other times it'll be a series of pictures. This depends on two things. First, if I recorded the drawing (I am bad about doing this sometimes), and second, if I feel the process is better shown as an animation or a series. Different pics will get different results.

Patrons at this tier will still get early access to comic pages once I start producing those again.

$5 Tier

Patrons at this tier will get all that juicy process stuff, but will also get my personal commentary on the picture. I'll be reflecting on the piece and include why I made certain decisions and how I did certain things. Sometimes this will include technical demonstrations, other times it will just be reflective rambling.

You'll also get a monthly pack of PSDs for all illustrations that I include in this tier, and the invitation to the bi-weekly tutorial stream where I teach the group how to draw something.  AND you'll still have the option to cameo as an extra in a Sparrow scene.

$8 Tier

This one hasn't changed. I'll still be offering individualized critiques and I'll upload critique videos here so you can refer back to them.

$10 Tier

This tier remains the same, with one exception: If I have any additional commentary regarding the NSFW content, I'll add that here as well.

I hope this explains where I'm taking you guys, and I hope you all find these changes agreeable. I'm still kind of new to this Patreon business and I hope to really pick it up in another month or so. Again, most of these changes will officially go into effect in late June 2018. Some of them may come earlier, but once my second quarter convention season is done, I'll be refocusing and getting this stuff DONE!
