Retired adventurers will sometimes take service with a noble and may wind up in the fighting.So Momon will be sitting out this battle. The Kingdom's nobles do not trust mages and most will not have worked with them so they have no idea about the power mages can call upon, and none have ever seen the power Ains is going to use on them.
