The Italian Job (1969) - Film Review

Hello Patrons!

You voted for it, so here it is - the first of our ITALIAN JOB movie-review couplets; the iconic British original starring Michael Caine and featuring acting royalty of Noël Coward and Benny Hill.

What will Drew think of all of these smashed cars? How will Danny react to a failing British Empire? Will Rob stop everything to sing "The Self Preservation Society"?

Listen to find out.

Later this week Part 2 will focus on the 2003 Marky Mark version.

Danny

You mention the Fiat race track that is seen briefly. My girlfriend is from Turin so I spend a bit of time there, and it still exists on top of the Lingotto building. They have made it into a high line style garden but you can still walk the whole thing. There is also a great art collection in the building, Pinacoteca Agnelli. Encourage anyone who is in Turin to visit it, it is a truly strange and beautiful structure rarely crowded!
