2024-04-08 15:08:31 +0000 UTCOn the ubiquity of Long John Silver's: I grew up in Maryland, and LJS was pretty prominent there, along with their rival Captain D's (sort of the Wendy's to Long John's McDonald's). At least they were when I was a kid in the 90s. I always found that kinda strange, because it's freakin' MARYLAND, and local seafood places are both prolific and inexpensive along the Chesapeake Bay. Why eat frozen crap when there are blue crabs in your literal back yard?
