Recovery State

I'm still in the process of recovering from from my recent surgery procedure - apparently it typically takes at least 2 weeks for the extraction sites to heal (at least for the most part). I don't know if my jaw issues have been fixed yet: it still clicks and feels weird - plus a few new issues were introduced by the procedure. But I guess I'll have to wait a bit before I can say for certain.

Although I feel like I'm probably good enough to resume working (in some capacity), I feel discouraged about my career and the artistic field around me. This leads to stress, and I wonder if that's responsible for my jaw feeling worse (I had a massive headache yesterday when I began to type this up). I dunno.

Demo Progress

I've used the last weeks developing the game project's next demo level. It's a bit straightforward (and perhaps a little too easy), so I'd like to make another level that's more creative. The first level doesn't even feature some of the newly added features, like ropes & harpy droppers.

For the second level, I'd like to push the scope of difficulty, tricks, and problem-solving a little bit. I might eventually like to make something a bit more like a Zelda/Simon's Quest, so developing a set of tools & a process for creating more tricky, exploration-based levels might be worthwhile.

31 Days of Female Link

October will arrive soon, and I'm considering a daily Female Link art challenge. The last time I did this was in 2022, and it seems to have been fairly well-received at the time. I think it's also one of the few unique & interesting forms of value I can provide. Haven't decided, but thinking about it.

That would be a lot of hard work, so if I do choose to take on this challenge again, other Patreon responsibilities will have to take a back seat to ensure I have enough time & energy.
