WIP: Midbus x Oolong, for Redemption3445

As I've done in the past, I paired up two characters of interest to Red, but this time I took a different approach to the workflow. Normally I would start with a rough sketch, proceed to a cleaner sketch, then inks, and then finally colors. But this time I went directly from the rough sketch to colors, and "binary"/"pixel" colors at that. It was actually kinda frustrating to work with so many colors while defining the boundaries of the shapes, but I ended up making more progress than I would have in a WIP done the traditional route. I think part of the success was the rather simplistic positioning I chose, but this mode of operation might warrant more exploration. What do you think? =}

Thanks for clarifying! But I'm trying to find something that works for any combination of characters. I'll have to experiment more~

2017-08-24 02:39:18 +0000 UTCI meant more characters that aren't primarily purple and pink, like Midbus and Oolong. More like blue/orange, or red/green characters, something with stark contrast.
