2025-03-23 17:48:58 +0000 UTC1. Renaming the channel to include broader zoology topics is a great idea. There's several good ideas in the comments here already. 2. If you want to branch out to controversial/conspirarcy type stuff, I think a second channel would be best. I love your zoological content, but I avoid political topics unless I'm in the right mindset to handle it. (I'm bipolar, and sometimes Im just not in a good place to deal with emotionally charged topics.) I know I am probably a very specific case, but I think others would agree they don't want the zoology content mixed with conspiracy stuff.

YouTube will see this surge of growth and the algorithm will favor you, giving you more reach. Plus I've heard YouTube tweaked the algorithm & it's currently favoring new channels so this might be the right time to make the leap.

Mythical has their main Good Mythical Morning channel, then Mythical Kitchen for their food stuff, Mythical MORE specifically for their aftershow, the Rhett & Link channel for the hosts' independent content, and Ear Biscuits for their podcast. Being one of the giants of YouTube, I assume they know what they're doing and there's a good reason for this. I, for one, don't want to see the fun Reptiles channel I started following suddenly become a Debunking Conspiracies channel. Or a Movie Review channel. Put that stuff in a different box, please.

Like legendary cryptids (I'm sure there's more out there than Bigfoot and Loch Ness monster) or modern and historical hoaxes like the Fiji mermaid or TicTok videos of chupacabra. :)
