Podcast QUESTIONS for JANUARY!

NEW YEAR NEW PODCAST! Let us know what you'd like us to talk about for the new year's podcast below!

Comments

why do youtubers (well, some of them) hold their microphones? in a past episode james went on about a video called just that, saying that he knew why. but he didn’t actually say it!!

Draconium

Favorite console/handheld color variants? (N64 Funtastic series, the various translucent PS2 and Gameboy Color colors, etc)

Leif Kadohata

Double question here if you haven't recorded things yet. What are your guys thoughts on the Switch 2 at the moment from what we have seen so far?

Haru

Are there any games that have released only in japan, excluding mother 3, or only in Europe that you've wanted to play?

NickieTheFool

Favorite vg loading screen, if any?

yhenestik

Hope you fellas are doing well! These podcasts are always fun to listen to on my commute to and from work. Question: as someone who recently picked up Outer Wilds thanks to James high praise for the game. Do you have any advice for someone jumping into it blind. I find myself getting constantly killed by either black holes, flying too close to the sun or landing my ship horribly. Where should I explore first?

Cesar

Have you ever been interested in analog cameras? If not, what cameras did you use to take photos?

GΓΆkhan Ak

What's the most PS2 ass game you've ever played? (Example: Something that could only exist on the PS2 like Mr. Mosquito lol)

Cat wearing crocs

Question for anyone and everyone: have you ever had a cheese curd (sometimes called a cheese bite)? If that sounds gross, it's essentially just a ball of cheese that is often deep fried. They are a delicacy here in Wisconsin, but I have rarely seen them outside of the state, so I'm wondering if Canada has had the chance to experience the magic of a cheese curd. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Hi James. In one of your videos you mentioned you were in Scouts around 2010. Have you went to World Scout Jamboree in Sweden that time? I remember it was soon after it was revealed that Canada together with US and Mexico are going to organize following edition so all Canadian scouts I met there were hyped. Do you have some fond memories from Scouts?

Hey James, Bradley and Robbie! Happy New year! I wish all 3 of you an excellent 2025! As for my question - Hypothetically, your favorite video game character has a dollar a month podcast with their friends where they talk about their experiences of the adventures they have been on, and then answer questions from their patron subscribers. 1. Who are they? 2. Would you subscribe? And 3. If so what question would you ask them?

Larkison

Question for James: what do think you would be doing if you had never made YouTube your full time job and you hadn't gone to film school?

Magic Myc

mostly a question for robbie: last episode you mentioned you were really into games that act as sandboxes for letting you generate stories and narratives in your head, and it sort of makes me curious if you've ever had any experience with etrian odyssey? or any other dungeon crawlers of it's ilk, really. (for those uninitiated, they tend to put emphasis on creating your own characters and letting your imagination fill in the blanks with how they react to any given situation, and for eo it is very explicitly an intended way to experience the game. [https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ESEXbHCWAAYdOEL?format=jpg&name=large] <β€” i dont know if links like this work properly in patreon comments, but this is taken from a developer diary released very close to eo1's launch from it's director)

What are the games you're all most anticipating releasing in 2025 the most? I've been playing ghost of tsushima for the first time and im loving that so ghost of yotei is definitely what im most looking forward to this year

Motor Drive

I asked one last time, so I'm just throwing a recommendation for "Sorry, We're Closed" out there. Everyone (including fellow patrons) should look into it!

Nate Baker

Mostly, what catches my eye are classics on sale. Most recently got Okami for 5 dollars.

Hello nitrio triad three the third (the threequel) simpler question this week I apologize I am doing absolutely fine and hope y'all are too: (for the horror fans among you) what psychological horror games and/or media has your favorite interpersonal dynamics. A lot of horror games can be from a pretty solitary and isolating experience for a protagonist but I love seeing works of horror that explore the rough (and sometimes beautiful) aspects of human dynamics and communication. Whether through flashbacks or on-screen character dialogue unfolding, I think horror is an interesting genre for character dynamics. I know that can also just be like.. drama 101 but it's nice when some raw thrill is put in there. For non-horror fans: favorite dynamics between characters in games in general? Happy new year and happy birthday to fellow january babies.

To Robbie and Brady; (I've asked this before to James and Brandon) If you were playing a bad game, would you prefer it being boring or frustrating? The answer most people give is that they'd prefer to play a frustrating game cause its more memorable, but for me, being frustrated is not pleasant to me in any way and I'd rather play a Boring game cause at least then I have time to think about stuff. To Nitro Rad Nitro; did you see the fan re-translation for Sillohuette Mirage that is more faithful to the original Japanese. (also feel free to just talk about the game in general as I really enjoyed it myself and was surprised to learn bout all the differences between the PS1 and Saturn versions, including the central game mechanics)

Bladebrent

What do you guys look for in a game? Specifically if you’re looking through Steam what about a game generally catches your eye and makes you want to try it when you’ve never heard of it before?

Maxx Clark

hey guys. what was the best wii game?

Chiefy Boay

This isn't a question more of a suggestion get a website today don't be a web peasant

BullocksHerman

Usually when people talk about their favorite RPGs it's for their characters, stories, worlds, music, ect. What would you guys pick as your favorite RPG purely for its gameplay/combat system?

Gamestuck

Hey yall, If you had to see one Show or Movie get adapted into a video game. What would you pick and why? I would honestly like to see a game based on Kamen Rider Geats as it's based on the Battle Royale genre already and suits look super cool too.

Haru

Why should we be afraid of yellow snow?

Dezrosiar

Hi, James! So, for th new year's podcast, why don't you talk about Shadow's redemption in the last year after several less than stellar games. (Returning to Shadow '05, and it's not as bad as I remember - it's worse).

Jediuser

Have you ever heard of the Army Men series of games? The Sarge’s Heroes series was a favorite of mine as a kid and I highly recommend them. P.S. Look up β€œWarriors of Virtue” it’s hilarious.

Moralis

If you guys could build your own Video Game controller from the existing parts of already existing controllers what would you make and what features would you have on it?

Local Smores Pop Tart
