However, Doaming Si has plans of his own, such as getting Shancai to agree to a trial relationship. But their relationship gets off to a rocky start when Shancai invites him on a double date with her tea shop besty and her boyfriend. Ximen helps said besty when she faces problems with her own boyfriend and Meizuo has another run in with his crush that quickly sours when an ex of her's shows up after a few drinks. We also get some background on her and that ex, that we're not really sure is needed or wanted, at least for us.
