Thanks Remmic! Glad you liked the second story. I did want to give Laura an arc and I’m glad it finished solidly, with her changing in a way that made sense for the journey she was on. I admit the rules were very technical, but I believe that’s just the effect of having two engineer/science types in charge of codifying their sexuality. If they don’t have rules, and don’t follow them exactly, they don’t know what to do. Or maybe it all feels like it doesn’t count or matter? Oh, I’d hoped I’d cleaned up all the counting errors, but it’s always easy to lose stuff on re-edits, especially between chapters. If I made a book, the back cover blurb would say, “Unlike Game of Thrones, [Xavier] stuck the landing!” I am considering a continuing arc for Kent and Bailey, with the odd Laura re-intersection as she goes on her adventures. I think there’s a lot more of Kent’s personality to delve into, as the story is mostly Bailey’s. You’re welcome! And Thank You for supporting me during this time! Xavier.

2022-07-11 13:31:59 +0000 UTCThis morning, many months after you posted the final chapter, my wife and I finally completed our joint reading of Two Hundred Dollars More. (While we were avid fans as you were initially posting, life kinda got in the way with us keeping up... new job, kid complications, ya know, so we fell behind. Nothing to do with the story.) We chatted over coffee, relishing the experience of following these three characters for what has turned out to be several years. A few thoughts… * We’re going to miss all three of them. (Bailey in particular.) They are compelling, complex characters that grew convincingly over time. * We totally bought into Laura’s entire story arc and the rationale behind it. It’s easy to see the childhood spanking, the guilt, and her way of working through it in the safe but challenging environment created by Kent and Bailey. And they way you brought the reader along on her slow journey of self-discovery as Kent and Bailey puzzled through it… masterful. * From an erotica standpoint, it does get a little complicated and clinical. All the positions, all the counting, all the precise terms - definitely amusing, sometimes distracting. * If you ever do any more with this story (e.g. publish beyond it), it could use an editing pass. Some typos and missing words - but also some repeated numbers in spanking counts and such. Didn’t detract from the story in the least, just mentioning it in case. * Was it actually another $200? We didn’t go back and count. Didn’t matter… but we did wonder. * Everything about the ending was satisfying and rewarding, and fit with the story. It wasn’t a surprise, but it worked out in some surprising ways without veering off into ways that felt wrong. Unlike Game of Thrones, you stuck the landing! And the way you left the relationship hanging between the three of them - in a good situation, but not entirely resolved - that was great. * What we wanted to see more of - and perhaps this goes to your question about what is next - is more of the development between Kent and Bailey. They’re both so interesting. Can they learn how to have a real conversation? Can Bailey say “boyfriend” out loud or learn to hold hands? Can they figure out what they have together if Laura’s not involved to provide creativity and something to spank during orgasms? Are there other corners of kink that bring out their personalities? Bailey seems like the living definition of “top from the bottom”… * And yet, while you left all options open, this is also a very satisfying way to wrap things up. If you don’t ever come back to them, this is a great landing spot. Laura’s got herself back and her options open, for the first time ever. Kent and Bailey navigated the complexity of Laura’s involvement and still clearly have mutual attraction. Anything could happen. But if nothing does, it was a great set of stories - one of the best out there. Overall, while we liked the first $200 a bit more due to the novelty of it and Kent and Bailey’s developing relationship, this was a worthy successor. Thanks for giving us Laura’s story to enrich our own lives during quiet moments here and there over the last few years!
