Obedience Training
Naruto has been doing special secret training with Kakashi, and Kiba’s feeling a bit jealous. His luck turns when Kurenai has to leave and asks Kakashi to take over his training for a bit. Kiba is Kiba, so Kakashi feels he has to take his lessons to another level.
Chapter 1
Naruto and Kiba were hanging out at the blonde’s favorite ramen stand. Akamaru was off on a retreat with the other nin dogs, and wouldn’t be back for another two weeks. “Oi fox face, where have you been lately?”
“Been training with Kakashi-sensei, it’s been a blast!” Naruto said with a big smile.
“Oh yeah, what has he been having you do?” Kiba slurped some noodles but Uzumaki didn’t respond. “Hm?”
Naruto stared off into the distance. It was like he was lost in thought. ‘Is he blushing?’ Had Inuzuka had his heightened senses turned on he may have caught a whiff of arousal, but to a normal nose the area smelled too much like ramen to notice. Kiba nudged him.
“Ah, sorry spaced out for a sec.” Naruto chuckled and slurped some noodles. “He’s been teaching me advanced chakra control techniques, and some new ninjutsu to.” Kiba rolled his eyes.
“Of course learning new ninjutsu would make you so happy.” Naruto pouted.
“What’s wrong with learning new ninjutsu?” Kiba stirred his ramen.
“Nothing, just...it sucks when your teacher is a genjutsu master and all she wants to teach is that.” He wanted to learn some cool wind style ninjutsu or find ways of strengthening his clan’s jutsu. “The stuff Kurenai teaches just isn’t for me.”
“Like what?”
“Like she wants us to learn how to reject genjutsu with our chakra, but I have Akamaru, when he’s with me I don’t have to worry about that stuff. So why do I need to learn that?” If he only knew. “You get it right, you suck at Genjutsu stuff too?”
“Yeah...I used to think that way, but Kakashi-sensei has been helping me learn. He’s teaching me to be a more rounded person.” He finished his ramen and let out a happy sigh.
“You still seem like the same old fox face to me.” Kiba ordered another bowl of ramen for the blonde.
“Thanks you are the best Kiba!” Naruto smiled brightly and Kiba blushed. His heart giving an extra thump of delight.
“Better than Kakashi?” The question just slipped out.
“Sorry, but Kakashi-sensei is the best!” The Inuzuka felt a twinge of jealousy. He always thought the guy was cool, especially training ninja dogs, but hearing Naruto talk about him so...happily...made him feel weird. It wasn’t the same way as the blonde talked about Iruka.
“I guess…” He huffed and finished his bowl of ramen. “Do you wanna train or do some sparring?” He was looking to spend more time with the blonde.
“Sorry but I can’t today, Kakashi gave me some special training to do!” He wiggled in his seat.
‘Is he that excited for training?’ Kiba huffed again. He wouldn’t admit to being lonely, or wanting to spend time with the blonde.
Naruto had some time before he had to go to training, so he hung out with Kiba making the dog nin’s day.

Kakashi was called on by Kurenai. “Yo!” He waved.
“Thanks for meeting with me.” Hatake was surprised by the sudden call. “I have a favor to ask you.”
“Hm?” She was going to Genjutsu Theater, a sort of convention for Genjutsu specialists. They come from every village and put on a grand show, this was the first year she was invited so she was excited. She needed someone to look after her students so she could depart.
“I already asked Asuma to look after Shino, and Lady Tsunade agreed to take on Hinata, but I need someone to look after Kiba.”
“Well, I suppose I could do it.” He scratched the back of his head. He noticed Kurenai fidget. “Is something wrong?”
“Well...Kiba’s been ditching lessons. He has no respect for Genjutsu.” She sighed.
“Hmm, I think I can help!” Kakashi smiled behind his mask. He was also good with ninja dogs he seemed a perfect fit.
“Thanks you are a life saver!” He chuckled.
“Be sure to give him the good news, and I’ll see him tomorrow for training.” Kakashi left at a surprising brisk pace. Kurenai never saw him move so quickly outside of combat. ‘Gotta go care for my fox.’
She left to inform her students.

Naruto and Kiba had a nice time together, before the blonde raced off to go do his training. The Inuzuka walked around for a bit, before bumping into Shino and Hinata. “Kurenai-sensei was looking for you.” Hinata said.
“Oh man!” Kiba groaned. “I’m not in the mood for a lecture.”
“Then you shouldn’t skip out on lessons.” Shino pointed out. “You seem happy, were you hanging out with Naruto again?”
“S-Shut up!” Kiba blushed. Shino just shook his head.
“Kurenai told us we’ll be having new sensei for a few weeks, she’s sending me to Asuma.” The bug user informed.
“I’ll be training with Lady Tsunade!” Kiba blinked.
“Who am I training with?” Shino shrugged.
“You’ll have to ask Kurenai.” Kiba sulked.
He was indeed due for a lecture. Kurenai chewed him out for a good thirty minutes. “Look I’m sorry I skipped your lesson, I just am not good at genjutsu...I have no talent for it, can’t you teach me anything else?”
Kurenai was caught off guard by the request. “I...maybe I can’t. You’ll be training with Kakashi Hatake for the next few weeks. See what you can learn from him. If you can improve as a ninja, maybe we can discuss making a permanent transfer.” It was fair, Kurenai was not the best fit for Kiba, his fighting style and hers didn’t mesh at all.
The same was true for Shino and Hinata honestly, but they were willing to learn defenses again Genjutsu. “Kakashi will be in charge of you, so try not to do anything foolish.”
“Kakashi…” The wheels in Kiba’s head began to turn. ‘That means I’ll be training along with Naruto, sweet!’ He raised a hand. “I’ll be on my best behavior!” Kurenai made a face that screamed she was still worried.
She gave Kiba info on the meeting spot and parted ways. ‘Naruto will be so surprised!’

Kiba was excited about this new course of training. He’d get to hang out with Naruto and learn some new ninja dog stuff it’s a win-win. Plus if he got to show off his skills in front of the blonde bonus!
The Inuzuka made it to the training ground, but there was no sign of Naruto or Kakashi. After an hour of waiting Kiba was annoyed when Kakashi showed up. “You’re late!” Kiba growled.
Hatake simply chuckled. “Sorry, I was dealing with my new pet, I had to make sure he was settled in. You understand don’t you?” Kiba crossed his arms. As an Inuzuka he knew dealing with a new pet or partner took time.
“Yeah sure fine, but where is Naruto? All he talked about was how cool and fun your training is.” Kiba asked.
“Oh he’s...busy...I gave him some special training to do for today. Much too advanced for you!” His mask hid his smirk as he thought about the state he left the blonde in. “Master...must train for master...be a good boy...I’m a good boy...I obey…”He chuckled. ‘So cute!’
“I’ll show you, I can handle anything Naruto can!” He took a fighting stance.
‘We’ll see about that.’ He stroked his chin. The two had a spar, Hatake getting an evaluation of his skills and abilities, and in truth he hasn’t developed much. Kakashi was worried about this Kurenai was a new jounin, while she earned her position she didn’t have enough experience in teaching.
When training ninja dogs it was one thing to give them to an inexperience instructor they can go back to being wild and disobedient. Kiba didn’t have Akamaru but was fighting like he was, it was leaving him a lot of openings. Kakashi wasn’t kind enough to ignore such openings, he laid a smack down on the Inuzuka.
Each time Kiba was laid out, he growled and got back up. His movements became more sloppy. “You are leaving yourself too open.”
“Shut up!” Kiba lashed out.
Hatake pointed out flaws in his taijutsu skills, but instead of taking the feedback and adapting he stubbornly charged forward trying to win. It reminded him a lot of how Naruto used to be.
Kakashi summoned his ninja dogs, and the pack forced Kiba down, and pinned him. Kiba struggled, but had no leverage. “Damn…”
“You have skill, but you need to learn other aspects of combat.”
“You’ll...you’ll teach me?” He had the same look of anticipation as Naruto got when he was gonna learn a new jutsu. There was no denying Kiba was wanting attention, he wanted to get stronger.
“Indeed.” He dismissed the summoned dogs. “We’ll start with the basics and build up your ninja ability. A little birdie told me you don’t think you need proper genjutsu training, so we’ll start with that.”
“Ugh…” Kiba crossed his arms. “Did Kurenai tell you that? I have no talent for Genjutsu I don’t see why I should be forced to learn it.”
“Lee has no talent for ninjutsu or genjutsu, but Guy still trains him to have counter measures for it. Having no talent in something doesn’t mean you can’t put in effort to hone either skill or defense for it.” He had a point.
“Tch, I have Akamaru, even if I’m caught in a genjutsu, he can mold my chakra and break it.” He was being stubborn and ignoring the obvious.
‘Looks like he needs to be taught a lesson.’ He lifted up his hitai-ate. A hand grabbed Kiba’s shoulder and turned him to face him. “And what about now, when you are alone?”
“Eh?” Kakashi opened his sharingan eye, and he caught Kiba’s gaze. The commas began to spin. ‘What...is...this…?’ His eyes followed the spinning commas, he couldn’t focus on anything else. ‘I…so cool...can’t look...away…’ The sky around him faded away.
Kakashi faded away leaving only the Sharingan. The eye grew larger, the commas spinning faster and faster, leaving flickering after images. A part of him knew he had to resist, but as he moved the ground crumbled beneath him and he fell. As he sank into the void the eye followed him casting his whole world into a swirl of red and black.
“Wow, I know I’m good, but he slipped even faster than Naruto.” Kiba was trapped in a genjutsu, in a simple first level trance. “Stand up!” Kiba obeyed. “Sit!” He obeyed again sitting like a dog. “Good boy!” He pats Kiba’s head and ruffles his hair. “Maybe now you’ll be more open to listening.”
Just as Kakashi was about to dispel it and continue the lesson, but then he spotted something. “Oh-ho~!” Kiba’s dick was pitching a tent.
Kakashi put his hand on the Inuzuka’s head. “Change of plans puppy, you’ve been a naughty boy, so you need to be properly trained. Kurenai has been neglecting your training but I’m more hands on!” Kakashi was gonna enjoy this, he was getting ideas in dealing with this naughty pup!
To be continued...Training of the Puppy
