Chapter 29 

Chapter 30 Shadow Revelations

The duel began, a dark duel with lives on the line. Jaden wanted to fight and end this duel as quickly as possible. “Jaden be careful, if you rush you’ll make mistakes.” Alexis warned.

“You are right, thanks Alexis!” He had to be on guard, this was a shadow rider, with a shadow charm from the book of shadows. The user captured his lovers in the hopes of adding more pressure on the lamia. “Let’s Duel!”

They shuffled their decks and loaded them, and the Shadow Game began.

Jaden/Nightshroud: 4000

“I’ll start things off, I’ll summon Troop Dragon in defense mode.” With a face down set, he ended his turn.

Jaden drew his cards and drew for his turn. Lamia Sister # 4, Lamia Little Sister # 2, Snake Pit, Pot of Snakes, Double Strike, and the last card he got Cursed Incense.

“I activate my Snake Pit spell card!” Across the magic field snakes appeared. Alexis gasped as this was a shadow duel the snakes were real. “They will not harm you.” Jaden tells her.

“I...um...okay…” She was still scared.

“I summon Lamia Sister # 4!” The lamia woman appeared, she was a beauty and had green scales, on the field, which triggered his snake pit. Once of the snakes rose up and drew a card for Jaden and added it to his hand. Lamia Sister # 2. “Next I activate Double Strike, this allows my lamia sister to attack twice this turn.”

With the ATK boost Sister # 4 had 1700 ATK. She charged and destroyed Troop Dragon. “Now Sister’s effect activates you take damage equal to the destroyed monster’s ATK!” She blew him a kiss, and the poison dust hit Nightshroud and his life points dropped.

Nightshroud: 3300

Jaden was ready for another attack, but…

“Not so fast, my Troop Dragon’s effect activates allowing me to call another from my deck!” The dragon returned in defense mode.

Sister # 4 made another attack, crushing the dragons and giving Nightshroud another douse of poison.

Nightshroud: 2600

“You snakes are troublesome!” He hissed.

“You could always end this.” Nightshroud just laughed.

“I don’t think so, I’ll be taking your key and your soul.” Another Troop Dragon appeared.

Jaden set his trap card Cursed Incense and ended his turn.

Nightshroud used Call of the Haunted to bring back one of his Troop Dragons, but they didn’t stay around long. He sacrificed the two and summoned… “Face the terror of Red Eyes Black Dragon!” The dark dragon appeared and let out a roar.

“That thing is a monster!” Syrus cried out.

“I forgot to tell you Jaden the more life points you lose, the faster that little orb goes away.”

“What?!” Jaden gasped.

“Go Red Eyes attack his lamia sister!” The dragon unleashed a destructive blast that blasted the lamia into dust.

Jaden 3300

Sure enough as Jaden’s life points dwindled the barrier around Syrus and Chumley began to crumble. “Hold on guys!”

“We have nothing to hold onto!” Chumley was panicking.

“Listen to them scream, humans really are pathetic.” Jaden took note of his phrasing. “It’s your move!”

Jaden draws. Lamia Little Sister # 3

“I summon Lamia Little Sister # 3 in Attack Mode!” The yellow scaled lamia girl appeared. Snake Pit boosted her 800 ATK to 1000, and he got to draw another card. Lamia Little Sister # 1.

She had the power to attack directly. She zipped past Red Eyes and struck Nightshroud. “Gah!”

Nightshroud: 1600

After the battle she was able to switch into Defense Mode.

“With that I’ll end my turn.”

Nightshroud draws. “You think you can hide forever.”

“What is he talking about?” Alexis asked.

“I wonder, if given the choice will you let these humans die to protect your secret?”

“No one is dying!” Jaden hissed.

“We shall see!” Nightshroud laughed. “I activate Inferno Fire Blast this makes you take the original ATK of my Red Eyes!”

“But that’s…” Jaden began.

“2400 ATK, you might survive but that barrier won’t.” Jaden is hit by the power of Red Eyes, his life points falling fast. “Now what will you do, you are strong enough in that form to save them!”

The barrier began to dissolve from the top down.

Jaden: 900

Jaden shot Nightshroud a glare. “You think I’d let my mates suffer for my secret, you underestimate the LAMIA!” With an arm raised to the sky his charm glowed and Jaden’s true form appeared.

“I am Jaden Yuki one of the last male lamia in the monster world, and I will not let any harm come to those I protect!” As he raised his other hand a stone snake appeared and collected the two lifting them up far away from the lava.

Nightshroud gasped. So much for his hostages. “You won’t get away!” His charm glowed and two fire dragons rose up from the magma and surged towards the two.

“AAAHHH!” They screamed.

“Do not be afraid, you are safe!” Jaden declared and a powerful barrier appeared around the two, keeping them safe.

“How, how are you so strong?” Nightshroud glared.

“Jaden...what are you?” Alexis was stunned.

“I’m a lamia!” He said proudly.

Syrus and Chumley looked out at him. “I’m sorry for keeping this secret, but I was told to lay low and stay hidden. My shadow charm allows me to take human form as I please, but in my true form I’m able to use all my strength and power!” Jaden smiled at his lovers. “I’ll protect you, just trust me!”

“You ask them to trust you but you lied, you kept this secret and now, it’s over, with your amount of life points you can’t hope to win.” Alexis, Syrus, and Chumley were quiet. “You will lose, your soul taken, and you will only be remembered as a monster who lied to hide his secret.”

“And what about your secret?” Jaden countered. “The way you speak, you aren’t human. I’d wager you are but a Shade clinging onto an innocent human. What poor soul have you claimed you parasite?”

“You dare call me a parasite you lowly snake. I am Nightshroud and I command the darkness!”

“Jaden!” Syrus called out. Everyone turned their gaze to him. “I don’t care what you are...human or monster...you are still the man I love.”

“Yeah who cares if you’ve got scales instead of legs, that doesn’t change who you are on the inside!” Chumley shouted.

“Beat this guy so we can go home!” Syrus cried out.

“You got it Syrus!” Jaden gave him a thumbs up.

He looked to Alexis who looked unnerved. “You promised me you’d help me find my brother, so long as you do that I don’t care what you are!”

“Looks like I have a duel to win.”

“You won’t win, not with my Attachment Dragon.” It was summoned and became equipped to Jaden’s Lamia, it forced her into attack mode. “My dragon can’t attack this turn thanks to the spell, but next turn it’s all over for you!”

“My move!” He draws Negate Attack. ‘Not what I need but it can help stall.’ He set a card face down. “I activate Pot of Snakes this card destroys the top two cards of your deck!”

Nightshroud curses as his Mirage Dragon and Spear Dragon were both sent to the graveyard. “Next I summon Lamia Little Sister # 1!”

The small lamia girl white white and black scales appeared on the field. “With her effect on each turn my life points increase by 300.” She was summoned in Defense Mode. Since she was summoned Jaden got another card, Double Summon.

His life points increased to 1200.

“Your dragon may force my Lamia Sister into attack mode, but he doesn’t stop her from attacking!” She charged past Red Eyes and struck Nightshroud. Thanks to her effect she was able to return to Defense Mode even with the dragon on her.

Nightshroud 600

“With that I’ll end my turn!”

Nightshroud began to laugh. “You think you are so clever, but too bad it’s over!” He draws. “You can keep your pot of snakes for I have pot of greed!” He draws two more cards.

“Next I activate my Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy the face down you played last turn.” Jaden’s Negate Attack was destroyed.

“Oh man my trap!” Jaden cursed.

“Now my dragon will force your little snake into attack mode.” She resisted but was forced into battle mode. “Next say hello to Dragon Treasury, this spell allows me to destroy an equip spell on the field and when I do I gain 1500 life points!”

Attachment Dragon was destroyed and the life points increased.

Nightshroud: 2100

“You called me a parasite, so I’ll show you the ultimate power of darkness, the dragon of darkness!” A dark aura encased him swirling around him like a vortex. “I tribute my Red Eyes Black Dragon to special summon my Red Eyes Darkness Dragon!!” The mighty beast appeared. “This mighty dragon gains 300 ATK for each dragon in my grave and thanks to you I have quite a lot.”

With the three Troop Dragons, Mirage and Spear Dragon, Attachment Dragon, and Red Eyes, the beast had a terrifying 4500 ATK. “It’s over snake!”

“I don’t think so I activate my trap!” Cursed Incense revealed itself, the sisters lit the incense creating a fog.

“What is this!?”

“While this trap is in effect and I have two or more lamia monsters on the field you cannot target a lamia on the field for battle or card effects.”

“You won’t win!” He went into his main phase 2. “I banish my Dragon Treasury which allows me to return 1 spell card from my grave to my hand, I can’t use it this turn but I think you know what it is!” He added Mystic Space Typhoon. “So on my next turn your incense will be blown away.”

Jaden got another boost from Little Sister # 1, so his life points went up to 1500.

“It’s my move!” Jaden draws and got Lamia Basilisk. “It is time!” He first activated Double Summon allowing him to make two normal summons this turn. First was Lamia Basilisk next was Lamia Sister # 2.

Jaden got to add two more cards to his hand. They offered another way he could win but Jaden was set to claim victory this turn. “So what even with the ATK boost from Snake Pit you don’t have enough ATK power to beat my Darkness!”

“We shall see, Basilisk show him your eyes!” She lifted her visor and gazed at the Darkness Dragon.

“So what if my monsters have to attack her, she’s not in Defense Mode, my dragon will obliterate her next turn.”

“That’s not all she can do!” His dragon was forced into defense mode becoming paralyzed by her gaze.

“Big deal none of the lamia have enough attack points to get over his defense!” Jaden had everyone in attack mode.

“We don’t need to, Lamia Sister 2 has her own effect, when she attacks a Defense Position monster it is destroyed!”

“No wait stop!” Blue scales whipped out and the Darkness Dragon was obliterated, crushed in blue coils.

He had no other monsters on the field and with everyone’s boosted attack from Snake Pit, the onslaught was brutal. As this was a shadow duel he took all the hits and felt all the pain as his life points dropped to 0. “Hold him girls.”

They did as Jaden slithered over. He took his shadow charm and the blank card. “You can’t do this, I am Nightshroud I am unstoppable!”

“I can, you made the rules of the shadow game, you wanted the key and my soul. So I’ll be taking your shadow charm and your soul.”

“Go ahead, you can take this brat’s soul I’m out of here!” He tried to escape but the lamia held him tight.

“That’s why you were so confident you forfeit your vessel’s soul, but I’m not that foolish.” Jaden channeled his energy into the card. “I bind you Nightshroud your influence and power be sealed!”

“NO!” The card glowed and began to suck out his soul. Jaden knew what he was so could target him with his magic. Not just his mask but his whole outfit turned to black smoke and was sucked into the card, even the negative aura in his deck was sucked away.

The lamia monsters vanished as Nightshroud was gone leaving a very naked brunette in his wake. “This hottie is clean!” Jaden scanned his soul and found no trace of the parasite.

Yuki wrapped him up in his coils. “Let’s get out of here!” Using the two charms he teleported them back to the Red Dorm.

“Jaden!” Syrus and Chumley ran over and hugged him. “You did it you saved us!”

“I’m so glad you both are alright.” He returned the embrace.

“Jaden...what happened to Nightshroud?” Alexis asked.

“About that, the being controlling him is sealed away, I’ll deal with him, as for the human he was controlling...you need to see this.” Jaden undid his coils just enough to expose his face.

“Atticus!” Alexis gasped. “My brother!” She cried and ran over.

“He’s gonna need medical attention and some pants.” The brunette was bare ass naked in his coils, which hid his naughty bits from view. Alexis blushed.

“You honored your promise to me, so I’ll keep your secret.”

“What about your secret, are you gonna reveal yourself?” Chumley asked.

“I don’t think the world is ready for me yet, do you?” Thinking on it they weren’t sure. Syrus and Chumley felt that since they knew Jaden and loved him that helped ease the shock of seeing this new form. Syrus had caught glimpses of things and Chumley had felt some weird vibes from Jaden before. To them it wasn’t much of a shock, though it could hit them now that the adrenaline and danger was gone.

“I can’t speak for all of humanity, but at this school you might need more time.”

Jaden was the hopeful sort, he did feel he could open up to his harem partners now, at the very least.
