Zoro wasn’t always a fan of other alphas, he was pretty laid back as far as alphas go. Nami was the worst kind of alpha in his opinion, she was pushy, arrogant, and demanding. To be honest he didn’t want his captain getting involved with this woman. She didn’t like pirates, and proudly proclaimed she was a thief who stole from pirates.

The female alpha didn’t even believe Luffy was an omega.

She dragged them into a whole mess with Buggy the Clown. He was a piece of work, a beta with an axe to grind. He didn’t like alphas, for whatever reason. She thought she could slip into his crew but Buggy didn’t allow alphas in his crew, so her plan fell apart fast. With his devil fruit; the Chop Chop fruit, he was a royal pain in the ass. He knew about Zoro and wanted to cut him down to increase his fame.

They escaped with Luffy and Zoro turning the Buggy Ball, back on them.

Buggy was trying to build up power and money before entering the Grand Line. He was using this little village as a base, and unlike Shanks, mistreated it and terrorized the locals. Not only using it as target practice, but sent his men in to pilfer the houses.

He sent Mohji and his lion Ritchie after them, but that backfired. The lion turned on his master, his animal instinct recognizing that Luffy was an omega. Nami realized that Monkey was an omega as he released his pheromones and tamed the beast. “He’s not a bad boy, just had a bad master!”

Ritchie licked Luffy’s cheek making him giggle.

Zoro learned his captain was weirdly good with animals. Mohji ran back to Buggy without his lion. He tried to warn Buggy that there was something off about the straw hat boy, but the beta captain wasn’t listening or didn’t care. “He stole my Ritchie!”

“Quiet you fool!” Buggy didn’t like failure, especially from someone higher up in his crew. Mohji claimed to be a beast tamer, and Buggy brought him onto the crew in the hopes of wielding an animal army but he was actually bad at it. Most animals attacked Mohji first on sight. “I will not allow these rats to get away. They shall all die flashily.”

The Mayor met up with Luffy and his crew, and he told them what was happening in the village. This didn’t last long as Buggy attacked the village with cannon fire.

They confronted the Clown Pirates again. Monkey showing off his devil fruit power and bouncing back another Buggy Ball. His crew got wrecked. Buggy and Cabaji had used fellow crew mates to shield them from the blasts, Cabaji using Mohji to shield himself from the blast.

His actions annoyed Monkey, using crewmates as shields was just wrong. Buggy continued to irritate Luffy, as the two began to fight.

Luffy didn’t like how the clown bad mouthed Shanks, mocked his ideals, and damaged his treasured Straw Hat. There was something Zoro’s master had told him. ‘Never anger an omega, no one can win against an omega when they are pissed!’ There was more to it than that, but that phrase crossed Zoro’s mind as he watched Luffy beat the hell out of the clown.

The clown realized too late what he was dealing with.

Roronoa took out Cabaji one of the Clown Pirate lieutenants. He called himself a swordsman but he was more into tricks than swordplay. Cabaji was talking a lot of nonsense claiming he wasn’t gonna lose to anyone, especially an alpha.

Buggy’s crew was full of betas.

Zoro didn’t give a damn about his issues, he drew his weapon, this was a battle, so he was cut down.

Buggy realized too late he was dealing with an omega, the rubber man was strong in his own right. The beta was too overconfident and underestimated Luffy, he was too deep in his issues with alphas, which stemmed from Shanks saving his life. Buggy was an incredibly petty man, clinging to things that were really nothing.

He not only tried to interfere with Zoro’s fight, he abandoned his fight with Luffy to attack Nami. He was an idiot.

Monkey kicked his ass and when he tried to escape with his Chop Chop fruit, Nami stole his parts and left him with only his head, hands, and feet. “Wait Straw Hat, you are an omega right!?”

“Yeah so?” Buggy smirked.

“I bet Roronoa takes advantage of you right? That’s what alphas do they are always the same, thinking they know what is best so high and mighty! Join up with me, we can protect you from a brute like him!” Just as Buggy attacked people for mentioning his nose, because Shanks was an alpha and he held a grudge against him, he lashed out on all alphas.

“Gum Gum Bazooka!” Luffy was done listening to this. Buggy had a warped view of alphas and he didn’t have to listen. “Zoro’s a good mate, not all alphas are jerks!” The beta needed to open up his mind a bit and get over the past, or his future wasn’t gonna be flashy at all.

Buggy was sent flying and his crew was chased off. Ritchie was left behind and Luffy asked him to protect the village for him. The lion agreed, teaming up with a dog named Chouchou. The mayor was shocked at what happened.

Nami got Buggy’s treasure and they pilfered a ship from him. She agreed to join Luffy’s crew, much to Luffy’s happiness, and Zoro’s annoyance. He still didn’t trust this woman. “So Luffy, you really are an omega, would you be interested in mating?” She put on the charm.

“Oi!” Zoro growled.

“No thanks!” The rejection was quick.

“What?! Why?” She was also an alpha. The chance to mate an omega was a dream come true.

“I like you and want you on my crew, but I don’t want to mate you.” It was just that simple. “Besides Nami, you really don’t want to mate me, not really.” Nami couldn’t even be mad, he was just so honest and sincere about it. His pheromones weren’t even rejecting they were sweet and understanding.

She could see Luffy was simple and trusting, a strong urge to protect him filled her chest. In a fight he could handle himself, but she recognized her captain had a weakness for deception. ‘If he didn’t, he’d be more wary of me…’ She thought.

Zoro breathed a sigh of relief. It was a misconception alphas couldn’t share a pack, it just required trust. He didn’t trust Nami yet, but Luffy did. ‘If she hurts him she’s dead!’

Luffy left half a bag of treasure for the mayor so they could rebuild the town. Nami wasn’t happy about it, but found his behavior odd for a pirate.

You’d think Buggy would have learned his lesson, but no…

‘Just you wait Straw Hat, I’m going to show you the truth, then you’ll be mine!’ He would survive, get his parts back, and then he’d hunt down the rubber omega down. Buggy realized that an omega was a rarity and as such a treasure of value, he’d do whatever it took to possess that treasure.

The two alphas couldn’t believe how their captain could find trouble. Upon arrival at the next island, Luffy wanted a ship of his own. They came across a long nosed liar, who was the son of Yassop, one of Shanks’s crew. His name was Usopp and he was a huge liar.

Nami saw through his lies, and challenged him. The beta backed down quickly. Zoro didn’t even bother to challenge the beta as he was down for the count. His pheromones were weak, his scent screamed that he was a coward. Luffy thought he was funny. Usopp treated them to lunch, Nami making sure he paid upfront.

Trouble was on the horizon, once again they were dragged into a mess. Kaya was another beta and the heiress to a large estate. Usopp was her friend, and Luffy wanted to ask her for a ship.

That wasn’t the problem, the problem came from her butler Klahadore, he claimed to be a beta, but there was something off about his scent. As it turned out he wasn’t a beta or a butler, but an alpha and a pirate. Captain Kuro, and he had a plan to take Kaya’s fortune.

His first mate Jango was a beta and a powerful hypnotist. Through hypnotism he was able to fake being a beta and keep his inner alpha sealed. He planned to murder Kaya and the villagers.

Usopp and Luffy overheard, the coward tried to run but Monkey wasn’t backing down. Jango put him to sleep with his powers and the omega fell from a cliff landing head first. Any normal person would have died but since Luffy was made of rubber he was fine.

The lying beta ran around trying to tell the truth only to have no one believe him. Zoro and Nami found Luffy and got the story. “What are you a trouble magnet!?” Nami groaned.

Even Zoro had to admit it was a fair question. Did he find trouble or did trouble find Luffy? Maybe it was a mix of both.

The Black Cat pirates attacked but Luffy and Zoro handled them. Jango tried to use hypnosis to revive the crew and make them stronger but Luffy had a counter. “Love Gauge!”

An Omega’s Love Gauge, a power all omega have, their inner omega produces an aura and releases their pheromones. It had a unique effect.

The weaker alphas on Jango’s crew collapsed, clutching their groins as their arousal brought them to their knees. The betas lost all control and began jerking off and cumming rather quickly, they also fell back defeated. Jango got a nosebleed and passed out.

Even Zoro was effected by it, but he was still standing tall, but pitching a massive tent. “Oi Luffy!” He groaned.

“Don’t worry Zoro, I’ll take good care of you later!” The swordsman shivered in delight.

The Love Gauge was one of the means an omega can determine a worthy mate. As it was clear by Kuro’s associates alphas and betas who fell to it like this were NOT worthy mates.

Luffy checked on Usopp who had also passed out from a nosebleed. Nami had slipped away and was currently pilfering their loot.

The only two remaining fighters were two alphas. Zoro knew despite their antics they were real threats, Luffy’s ability dispelling any such illusions. They went after Monkey with lustful intent.

With his three sword style he cut the two down just in time for Kuro to show up. “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?”

All of Kuro’s plans, faking his death/execution, hypnotizing a marine named Morgan to do it to gain prestige made it all the easier, going undercover as a beta, spending years as a butler, all of it had come undone by two alphas, a beta, and an omega.

He was no match for Luffy even with his Out of the Bag attack, Monkey took note of the strange high speed movements. After taking a few hits Luffy managed to overcome Kuro and hit him hard. The rubber man caught him and wailed on him.

Kuro lost and the pirates were chased off.

Kaya found out the truth, and as a thank you for saving her life and the lives of the village she gave Luffy a ship. The Going Merry!

It was a small ship, but Luffy loved it. It had a jib and a central steer rudder, the armaments consisted of four cannons; one on the bow pointing forward, one at the stern, and two pointing to either side. Merry had a sheep figurehead, which Luffy claimed as his favorite seat.

The front cannon deck was connected to the anchor room. There was a meeting room/kitchen/helm, then there was a storage room connected to the second cannon deck. Beneath that was the shower room/wash room. There was a cabin for the men, a cabin for the women, and a captain’s room. Between the two living cabins was a heat room, for passengers going through heats and ruts. Zoro’s favorite spot was the crow’s nest. Nami kept the treasure she had collected in the women’s cabin.

Along with the ship they were given supplies to last 4 months.

Usopp was planning on leaving the village, leaving the island. He ended up running into Luffy’s crew. “Do you wanna come with us?” Usopp was surprised.

“I’m in!” He jumped in the air. “I’ll be happy to become your captain!”

“No way!” Luffy snapped. He was the Captain of the Going Merry and this crew. “I’m the captain!” He challenged Usopp and the beta backed down.

“Oh I get it, you guys need a beta for mating, while I’m flattered…” Zoro and Luffy shot him down.

Roronoa was interested in taking a beta, Luffy was a handful it’d only benefit him to have some betas to help him and their pack. ‘Usopp’s way to weak and cowardly not a good choice for us at all.’ He was worried Luffy might feel differently but his omega captain felt the same.

He wanted to be friends with Usopp nothing more. Given his reaction to the Love Gauge, the long nosed liar wasn’t a good mate that could handle him.

“What about you?” Usopp looked to Nami, who started laughing.

“I’d snap you like a twig.” He believed her.

As promised Luffy did take care of his swordsman, they broke in the heat room right away.
