Things to come
Added 2022-02-16 19:09:09 +0000 UTCHi, everyone. Many of you may have noticed from my social media and YouTube posts that I am working on a much larger project and that this project is the beginning of (hopefully) a new era of Renegade Cut. I originally said that I would not be making a video in February to better focus on this project and because I did not wish to make a "placeholder" video. However, for the reasons I will explain below, I have changed my mind. This is pasted from a post on my YouTube channel:
I have given this a lot of thought over the past week, and for two separate reasons, I will be making a normal-sized Renegade Cut video between now and the release of the aforementioned much larger project due later.
First, I've heard you. Even though I am not in any immediate financial danger should I not produce a video in February, the algorithm may, for lack of a more technical term, "forget" about me by the time I release my larger project. I want this large project to be seen, and if the algorithm is done with me due to not uploading anything in well over a month, all that effort will have been for nothing. Not to mention what it might do to the long-term health of the channel. In my attempt to maintain the "integrity" of my work, I may have missed the forest for the trees.
Second, I had an idea last night about something I wanted to say, and it would be best if it took the form of a 10 - 20 minute video essay. I didn't want to make "low-effort" content, a placeholder, because that feels antithetical to what I want to accomplish with this channel. Nevertheless, the idea for the regular-sized video is actually not bad, and the specific content I have planned for it may even be helpful as a kind of transitional video between the current era of the channel and the new era I hope to begin. It won't be a vlog or low-effort content. It will be a proper video, albeit more ethereal and (sigh) poetic(?) than usual.
Tentative release schedule for these two videos:
Regular-sized, weird video -- before the end of this month
Large project -- March
Thank you all, both for your patience and your advice.
P.S. - My Patreon is "per video" instead of per month, which means the only way this affects my patrons is that you will be paying me *less* in February and possibly March. So, this will not negatively affect your wallet, only mine.

Your work is fantastic. I also thought Matrix: Resurrections was really well put together. I saw the parallels with the directors transformation. I related it to myself and my own struggles. Whereas, it was personal feelings about one's gender and being transsexual,, for me it was allowing me to have more confidence in my artwork. To not be afraid of failures (this is a lifetime struggle, for me). I want to make artwork and incorporate my music, that is right now in its infancy.
