End of Month report - May '22

Where is the year going?  We're almost halfway done and a lot of stuff is going on right now!  Due to a bit of scheduling conflict we had to start the Iron Pen a little earlier in the month then was expected, and a few delays have created where we'll be going a little longer than usual.  We're still learning how things are going, but so far it's going pretty well!  We have one book done already (the one for $10 patreons) and another one half-way finished.  With everything settling down the rest of Iron Pen should be pretty straightfoward and will end in the middle of June.

There are still four books that currently have covers either finished or mostly done, and once I get done with them editing they will be released.  Our next sales con is IFC, so we have some time until everything is done.  For reasons that will be explained later these books will be the last ones for a while, so they'll be a little more staggered.  On the game development side of things with the combination of Iron Pen on my side and the artist needing to clear their queue we had a slight delay when it comes to Fall of the Behemoth, and with other things I do have to hold on production of the art for it.  Fortunately there's already an alternate plan that had already been announced, with Raven and I doing a joint work we can keep making games even with the tightening of the purse strings.

Which brings us to June and the future.  As far as work goes it's Iron Pen and then working on game development.  For the patreon we are also adding a new reward;  I want to do more personal writing work, and I want to offer the ability to people join in on things that strike my fancy.  So $5+ patreons will be able to get in on that.  I also am opening rush commission slots after the Iron Pen, so people who want time sensitive commissions from me can get them if I'm feeling up to opening them.  Going to have a lot of hard work ahead of me, and here is why.

After 7+ years I'm finally getting a new fursuit!  This has been a long time in the making since my last one is practically falling apart, and even with things getting a bit rough out there I feel confident in this business that I can make this happen.  So I wanted to take this time to really thank everyone here, it's only because of you all that I can venture forth in this and not be freaking out... even though I am a little at the moment.  It is quite a bit of money that's going on the company though, so you'll see a lot of pulling back on the art assets I get.  All personal stuff is on hold as are books and comics, though I will keep trying to fund art for Fall of the Behemoth.  I'm ready to put the nose to grindstone to make sure that Smilodon Studio continues to be a success and growing!

Take care everyone!
