End of Month report - August 2021

Well, it's been quite the month here as we close out the summer, and a lot of stuff has happened!  It was not a big month in content creation we fortunately had a lot of backlog from the last few months that were able to be used to make up the difference.  We also had the good fortune to have several sets of sprites that were commissioned at this time to be added to the game as well.  While that means that there is a bit of backlog when I get into September and October it's ultimately worth it.

Unfortunately for August the content was a little more sparse than I had been hoping, particularly with the game update and I will also be missing the patreon exclusive post deadline.  Aside from the hassle that came with securing a loan and negotiating the deal I've also been dealing with a minor medical condition and for the last few weeks the new owners of the surrounding properties have been doing... extensive construction work.  It's been extremely hard to concentrate with hammers, drills, and chainsaws going for ten hours a day to the point I'm extremely frazzled by it all.  Thank goodness that we're moving soon, this is supposed to be going on for months and I'm already getting a limit.

So as mentioned above we're moving to a brand new location, and though it's been a hectic month getting everything squared away since I am selling my place in order to pay for it we seem to be getting to the light at the end of the tunnel.  I was hoping that we might be done with everything or at least be in the process of moving by the start of September but that was a rather lofty goal, still we're at least getting close to the point where we can start getting our stuff moved to the new place.  While I still have my office somewhat set up it's been extremely hard to sit down and work with everything going on and to be completely honest the stress of the situation has been getting to me.  Fortunately things are hopefully going to settle down here pretty soon and we'll be in our new place, which means there is going to be a lot more potential.

I also want to thank everyone for all the feedback that has been given, I had to stop short when the whole house thing started to happen but it's given me some insight in what to offer when it comes to the retool of patreon and the tweaking of rewards.  It makes me happy that stories and games is still the big draw here and I will definitely be doing more of it, especially when we get back to doing the writing streams and such.  I also like to see that for my ten dollar donators you are enjoying the short stories along with Rain and Shine, it gives me a chance to sort of break from the intensely complex work of the game to do some simple, straightforward exploration and naughty stuff, especially in worlds that I created.

So yeah, it's been a real strange month with the new location coming up but super excited for what the future is going to bring once we're all moved in and ready to create more and different content.  For the changes that are coming to the patreon I'll probably be holding off on them until around October when I can really make sure that everything is done right and also potentially integrating new stuff while also waiting until we got completely settled in to the new place.  Once we get moved in things will ramp up again, but it's hard to tell when exactly that will be.

One last note I want to do is thank everyone once again for making this all happen, without the critical success of this patreon I wouldn't be able to devote the time and money to taking what's in my head and showing it to you guys!
