End of Month Report, Jan 2020

First month of the year in the books, and man where did the time go?  It's been quite the tumultuous month for myself filled with all sorts of things, some of which were good and others not so much.  So without further ado let's go into the recap and plans for next month.

So January has been odd in that I got a lot of work done, but it's all been mostly book focused.  With FurSquared giving me a table at Dealer's Den and five of the cover arts that I commissioned coming to me it's been a crazy scramble to try and get everything written and printed before I wouldn't be able to get them in on time.  It's been crazy but I think that I'm going to get all five books published in time.  Of course that meant that I haven't had much time to do other writing, such as the exclusive, and for that I do apologize.  With game updates coming out every other month I should have been on top of that but this month definitely got away from me with other things going on as well.

On the patreon metrics side we lost a few patreons but did go up, marking the first positive month in the last five for cash while continuing to decline in actual members.  We're still at four digits so nothing to complain about there, but hoping that in the coming months we can start surging back up to have a strong spring.  Possibly thinking about including advertising on FA in order to try and draw more traffic here but would need to create a banner first, and with more posting happening I'll be spreading my patreon link to FA and SF users who read my stories.

I also took some commissions this month for the first time in a while and got a lot of interesting short stories, so expect next month to be filled with a lot of words for you guys to read.  This month I also attempted to get a partial suit and so far it looks like my slot wasn't chosen, so I might have some extra business cash for Rain and Shine or something of that nature.  I also twitched less then usual, putting that enterprise on the back burner while I continued to write and edit as much as possible.

So that's it for January, a somewhat lackluster month for Patreon I admit.  Now, moving on to February...

With a bunch of books published the main focus is going to be on three things; the backlog, the game, and more editing.  Aside from a Valentine's day thing to pay for upcoming con expenses there will be no commissions taken during that month and March and with FurSquared being in the middle of the month there is also no Hell Week.  I'm going to be seeing about those sprites for Rain and Shine to see if we can get a deadline for them otherwise I might move to get backgrounds first.  Expect to see a lot more movement going on in the patreon in order to make up for January, especially with what might be coming...

Certain factors might be falling into place where some major shifts that I've been talking about would happen, and if this happens then I'm going to need you guys more then ever in order to do everything that I wanted to do.  There are still a few confirmations that have to be waited on and there's no use counting chickens before they hatch, so I'm not going into the details of what's happening until I'm sure that the planets have aligned for this to happen.  If it does though I'll say that the rest of the year is definitely going to be the year of the Sabrewolf.

If this does happen one thing you're going to notice is a dramatic push on Patreon to try and get new people here, as well as more rewards and things of that nature.  It's a bit of a leap of faith for what's about to happen, and some things might not work, but it's only because of you guys that any of this is going to be possible.  Thanks to your contributions not only now but over the years has all culminated to this potential moment in February.  So whether or not this actually happens all I can say at this point is...

Thank you all so much.

Well, that's about it for this report, hopefully I'll see you all next month!  :D
