Writing projects for 2020
Added 2019-12-23 18:00:03 +0000 UTCBelow is a couple of books that I've been meaning to write for myself but never really had the time to do. Been hoping that I could at least do two, though my hope would be to get one done per quarter so that I could have four books. They would all be clean as well, so that would be something to add to the portfolio.
Demon Within - A elf from an aristocratic family has a chance run-in with an assassin that was on the job in his neighborhood, and in a turn of events decides to run away with them in order to become one himself. Years later he finds himself getting a similar companion while on his first job, but this one happens to be a demon looking for a way home. This sets off an epic journey to get the demon home while forces at work attempt to grab the powerful creature for themselves.
One for the Money - A gambler wins a spaceship from a captain down on his luck, and when he goes to inspect it and see how much money he might get from it he is met by a man who tells him that they had a contract for this ship to haul some cargo. When he hears the amount being paid for completion the man goes from gambler to captain, finding a crew quick in order to make this one single delivery to attempt a double payday.
Two Weeks Notice - A tale set in the near future in an alternate timeline where euthanasia has been legalized, prompting several centers to handle the influx of people who wish to end their lives for one reason or another. Before they go however they are given two weeks in order to celebrate their life, and for one wolf it's also two weeks to contemplate his decision in the first place.
Identity Crisis - A futuristic tale where after the golden age of genetics people can shift into whatever forms the want in a matter of minutes. Naturally that makes it hard to keep track of people, so everyone is required to have an identity chip with them at all times so that police, fire, emergency, and other personal can find people. The system is supposed to be unbreakable, but when a detective finds someone who has no identity everything is called into question.
Hair of the Dog - A traditional detective noir with the twist of fantasy integration where a werewolf detective attempts to deal with the pressures of behaving himself during a full moon while also attempting to solve a kidnapping and murder. When his old pack gets put on the suspect list can he set old loyalties aside and do his job, even if it meant putting them away for life?
