Journey Across Bosnia & Herzegovina PT.3

In this part you'll see why this journey does not include 'train surfing' in the title.

After seeing what the city and the surrounding mountains had to offer, we were very excited to catch a train and continue our trip further, towards the coast. Next day, after waiting it's entirety nearby the yard, under a bridge, in a quite uncomfortable spot - we got nothing. Spirits were low and realizing that trains most likely go through the beautiful mountain track, in the direction that we wanted, in the night, we did not want to wait at that yard another day. Poison had to return home in a couple of days and we both were running out of patience. Might not show in the video, but that day was truly the worst day of the journey. Feeling defeated and on the way back to the city, I suddenly had a very inspiring question - why do we depend so much on other people's schedules? With that an idea to take things into my own control arose and the most suitable mode of transportation for that was a bicycle. Excited, I mentioned the thought to Poison, but sadly, even though he wanted - he did not have enough time to join me as he had to return home earlier. The next day I went to a bike shop, picked out a bike, got a route suggestion by the sellers and was on my way. Hyped that I was finally not dependent on any schedule and that each kilometer I travel is completely up to my own effort - I was quite ignorant to how much effort and how difficult the road ahead of me will be. Nonetheless, I felt ready for any challenges ahead and by the end of the day, even though I was exhausted, I was very happy with my choice and appreciated the surroundings even more than I did from a train wagon.

I am definitely doing more of these 'diverse' journeys in the future. It was very fun and refreshing. Train surfing is fun, but it has it's draw back and is not all I wanna do.

Thanks for the support!

This was by far the coolest video you ever put out. I loved the relaxing bike journey

Living the dream as always, my friend. Everytime i watch your videos, i want to go out and enjoy life..

Ah and get a metal cup to worm up your food/water. Food tins are coated in some anti-corrosive shit that melts into your food when heated. You don't want to eat that.

Shiey, when you were starting the fire you had a birch tree (white) nearby. Its' bark burns like fuel, give it a shot. Great to see your improvement in bushcraft skills.

Definitely one of my favorite videos. Buying that bike was such a good idea.

Love it!

Inspiring trip 👌

Love the vid

Great episode...think it also worked better without poison as more time to hear from the man Shiey himself

Love it. Respect your biking up those mountains! Quite a challenge! !

Respect for hopping on the bike. I’ve done some bicycle adventures and it’s very addicting. I’ve had single days where I’ve hiked + biked + ferry + passenger train + camp. Super fun…🚵‍♀️

Yeah best series yet man last thing id expect was you getting a bike and hitting those mountains but damn you did it bro. Much respect

I’ll finally binge watch all of your adventures now 🤩

Great random choice with the bike, something different for you and us too to watch. The way to live.

awesome, maybe now you can get into some other illegal activities like soliciting prostitutes or underground boxing/fighting. or perhaps stow away on a plane.

Shiey, your best yet!!

John Fisher

I haven’t watched the vid yet cause I’m at work but not relying on someone else’s schedule is the best way to travel no matter how difficult it is. 😉
