VIDEO: Journey Across Chernobyl PT.5

The final part of this Chernobyl journey.

Journeys, in general, are not over. I have been planning something the past weeks, don' t have time to do it yet, but another journey is definitely in the works. Also, I am loosely planning another visit to the exclusion zone, this time checking out different objects like the reactor 5 and the machine graveyard, but that is going to happen a bit further in the future.

The next videos are going to be a bit shorter ones as I do not have a full journey filmed yet, but like I've mentioned - working on it.

Plus I'm quite close to release my first music project (EP). Working on that in the background as well.

As always thanks for watching and the support!

HAM Radio operators call Duga the "Woodpecker" for the sound it made when operational. None of them know what it does. It was an "over the horizon" incoming nuclear weapon detection system. It would shoot radio transmission into the troposphere that would bounce off back to earth for long range detection.

The entire Chernobyl series was fascinating and scary at times especially when you climbed to the top of the Ferris wheel. OMG your travels are awesome. Thank you!

Nice. I wanna go to the "installation"

Near the end when he is at Duga, he asked what them white cage's where. They were part of the receivers. You basically have to think of Duga as a giant satellite dish, the wires connecting all the towers acted like a dish and bounced the radio signals back on to the white cages (like a receiver that sticks out on an arm of a satellite dish). The actual Transmitter was based at another instillation 60 miles away from Duga
