Patreon being balls

Patreon has been a bit mum about that but from what I've been able to piece together it seems that they changed the location of where they're registered, prompting banks to flag transfers to them as suspicious. Why they didn't tell people ahead of time is anyone's guess.
For the most part it seems that it's been sorted and as per this tweet (I know, they can't be bothered to even write a more in-depth post) they should have emailed those of you who have had your cards declined. If not, well, hopefully this post will clue you in on what was happening. There's no much I can do about it but I'm sorry all the same that Patreon keeps cocking it up.
...in case you're wondering, the reason for the mild profanity is that I think that pages such as ours with adult content were disproportionately affected. According to some user reports, something like half of their patrons were affected and got declined. We're lucky that we don't need that much to keep running, with the excess being used to dedicate time to improvements. Still, it's only fair to talk openly about getting shafted.
