This magical sweater keeps the wearer warm for the winter by influencing them to build a thick layer of fat, just like a grizzly bear preparing for hibernation. The enchantment transforms the wearer to be perfectly suited to eat whatever is most abundant in their immediate environment. In the middle of the city that means skyscrapers. Apparently this particular kitty cat is still chilly despite her already rather...generous supply of blubber.
The macro response team has one job, to minimize the damage done by these occasional outbursts, and as a few more empty buildings disappear into the cat-girl’s gullet they know they’ll have to work quick.
