Resources for learning Daz3D
Added 2021-02-03 18:32:50 +0000 UTCDaz can be a little intimidating at first, so I tried to find things that explain it as simply as possible, and similarly to how I use it to make references. I will add this post to the Reference FAQ and try to keep it updated.

2021-03-04 22:07:11 +0000 UTCHello! If you have already installed the grey material, it should be under 'My Daz Library > People > Genesis 8 female or Genesis 8 male (this is irrelevant really, as I found the material applies to both models regardless) then Materials > Default Grey. The sub-folder you choose inside of there depends on what graphics card you have, or how powerful your computer is! I usually use the Nvidia Iray Renderable grey material. With the model selected in both the Scene and Surfaces tab, double click on the grey materials. You can also turn any object grey like this, except the materials are located in My Daz Libray > Shader Presets > SpyroRue instead. As for how to render in Daz, the articles on renderguide.com that I linked to explain it much better than I can!

2021-03-04 17:55:43 +0000 UTCHi! I'm very new to Daz and 3D stuff in general and was wondering if you could tell me how to apply those grey material presets (or what sort of tutorials I should look into - blending, rendering, etc.)
