I worked incredibly hard intellectually last night to give you an idea of what I would like the gameplay to look like.
So, it's true that I said last night that I was going to work on three proposals, but instead of putting ideas on paper, I thought it would be more useful for you to understand where I wanted to go with the project, so don't hesitate to tell me what you think, if it turns out to be rubbish, I will make other completely different proposals.
"Marcus is a 23-year-old student. He and his best friend Josh moved to a small town called Fernsworth, tucked away in the northern part of the country. It's a nice place to live, but what really drew you there was the biology department of the faculty specializing in virology. You must have found an apartment pretty quickly, and you and Josh live in different neighborhoods with different roommates. Unfortunately for you, you live with a guy who doesn't do much all day except devour Dungeons & Dragons lore and spend his time creating campaigns! It's not bad, actually; you and Josh have wanted to participate in campaigns for a while. Anyway, he's unemployed, and you're the one paying the rent. Not cool, but hey, he's into D&D?
The first two days go relatively well, but then an epidemic of what they call the pink flu suddenly appears and seems to affect only males with a certain blood type. Bad luck, you're one of them, and so is Josh. You're probably familiar with the effects of the pink flu, right? YES, you are, because you're familiar with my content, haha. (wink)
Oh dear, you end up catching it (I don't know how yet), but not Josh... for now, how long will it be before he catches it? We'll see! Anyway, your virology professor takes pity on you and sees it as a great subject of study! Not you directly! At least not yet. No, he sees this epidemic, which seems to only affect certain residents of Fernsworth, as concrete material to teach his students the ropes of virology! As time goes on, we realize that the epidemic isn't of natural origin, because, west of Fernsworth, a secure private laboratory seems to be involved in chemical activities. The forested area surrounding the laboratory is gradually being contaminated with pink fungi... Will the player manage to find the cause of all this through their studies? Will he find an antidote, or will he plunge his city into a viral cataclysm? And... will he manage to reach one of these two outcomes before the virus consumes him entirely and transforms him into a brainless bimbo? Because the virus is infecting him faster and faster."
Tell me what you think, even if the synopsis is very Patient Zero, I plan to emphasize the everyday-life routine aspect of the gameplay so as not to make the game a cataclysmic horror game where the player ends up taking a rifle to defend themselves.
Speaking of gameplay loops, here's what I have so far: the keys to the temple!
I'd really like to keep this part between us as much as possible, even though this post is public. The day it gets out, I'll be terrified of being accused of plagiarism if someone steals this idea, so please, if you want to steal this idea, don't do exactly the same thing, haha.
OR CREDIT ME OR SMTH :p
ANYWAY !
You'll see that I have sections within the gameplay loop dedicated to storytelling, so more linear, scripted parts. These are in the white containers and will be much more narrative-driven (excluding mini-games). I've also left some spots for you to suggest things there: "????"
You can obviously suggest all sorts of things for other aspects, to modify things, etc. I'm inspired by everything you say, whether it's in the comments or in DMs! So thank you for making suggestions!
Let's go !

Thank you all for reading this! If you have any feedback, please feel free to share it in the comments!
