Its been a bit of a gear grinder this month. We are finally starting to get some light in. Anyways Lets go through it!
3 Long but short rock formations and one more mountain
we have some more filament guzzlers here. This month features some really long winding and shorter rock formations that can be used as a settlement boundary or rough terrain obstacles. This month we're going to be getting into some of the payoff from the last few months. What I'm after are settlements where the fortifications are really a mix of man made and natural features. This will be following us as we get after all those demi/sub human settlements during the next half year. The shorter mountains are about the height of an average palisade. As far as bridges go it looks like my scaffolding set works just fine for it so I will not be adding extra. The scaffolding set features narrow walkways as well as winder planks and feature 2/4/6 inch risers.
Timber Guard Tower
This is a proper and beefy guard tower. It features a base with and without the palisade starter.
Timber Toll Gate
Decided I should have a proper beefy and tall timber toll gate to guard the mines. We have full working doors with enough space for most wagons. It is designed to go with our roads. If you don't have them the ramp parts from the scriptorium will work as ends. Ladders will allow you to latch mini bases in there if ladder movement is part of your game. Free form palisades can go on the sides.
Windmill
Okay I finally made a windmill, not many mechanics on the inside yet, the tower is all solid fill to give it the needed gravity.
Free Palisades
These walls are wide based in the middle but come to pointy ends as you can see in the top-down view above. The idea here is to make everything like the scriptorium settlement so you can mix walls, buildings , and mountains to make your settlement fortifications or ruins. The palisade still need some work still, I have to add some base boards and cross support to make them better for printing. They work as is but things really need to be dialed in. I will add some walkway section options, as well as more ground options. Palisades will align with the starter set fort. They are stylistically a tiny bit changed but are the same in terms of girth.
