History Of Prizes

Where did the prizes come from? I originally financed my interest in 3d printing and 3d modeling by starting an OOP (Out-of-Print) business in 2012 called Timeportalgames. I spent most of my life living 30 minutes south of Lake Geneva and an hour west of Chicago, so there were some amazing opportunities to run such a business. I ran an honest but ruthless enterprise for 3 1/2 years, then I switched to just modeling in 2016. I was left with 6 book cases of mostly newish grade (about 25% shrink wrapped) gaming stuff and about 10 boxes of dragon magazines (which I gave away).

Prize Substitution Requests

We'll be open to reasonable prize substitution requests of similar value from non-1st place winners. We have a mess of high quality 1st-3.5rd edition stuff + alt brands. No promises but there is no law against asking:) Picking are slim but not impossible for Planescape and Mystara, due to my personal collecting tastes.

Comments

go for it. The more creative the better, as long as it is only remixed with your original work::)

What is the ruling on using bits and pieces from your kits? I have an idea I want to pursue but need to tear down some of the parts to make it fit the theme/idea.

That primer idea is a good one, but I'm not switching it up at this point. I've already made all the royal declarations and such. Anyone is welcome to post images with figures in them, I just need submissions without. I don't want figures to skew the judging. 2 of the judges are already primarily figurative. I understand it is not the most fun kind of narrative but we can still tell stories with empty scenery:)

A lot of your models are slice-of-life that really want people in them. What is the fun of a market with no people? Do you have any figures in inventory besides the wagon driver? If not, are there any figures that would be allowed for scale and story telling? I get maybe not home printable 3D models, but perhaps metal cast D&D figures? They could even be required to be primed white and not part of the painting effort so it is all about your stock.
