Inn with Dual Height Walls: 1st Preview for February

We have a 3+ story in for next month. It's not huge, its not gigantic, it's big:) Next month we will be displaying the full power of dual wall height buildings. You will be able to play each level with 1/3 height walls, giving you and all the players at the table a clean view of each level without the need to stand up and look in. The ideas and fleshing out of this have come from the community, so always feel welcome to share ideas. Here is a list of features.

There will probably be an expansion into March to offer a couple options and variability on those upper floors.

Also Coming

I've been having  an awesome conversation with our commercial sellers about their needs and I expect this will spill over a good bit for everyone. The list of ideas is massive, in the short term I tentatively hope next month will also bring the following.

Thanks A Bunch!

Thanks everyone for the amazing support over the last year. I expect we will bounce around a bit, but today is our first day crossing the 500 Patron threshold:)

Thanks David, I think it will be a good set up for actually gaming on:)

I must say the floors and details with the walls width seems very good

Yeah I'm trying my best to maximize usage of the Anycubic Zero (ultra small build plate).

This one with fit on 8x8, some of the past buildings fit on 6x6. Some patrons use their own software to cut the buildings even smaller parts. I'm not sure what smallest means, you mean like a elegoo/ anycubic resin printer?

I haven’t printed out the past buildings. Is it possible to build these on the smallest printer plates?

Hi Rob, Thanks for the input. I'll keep this in mind the next time I do stairs. To far down the road to turn back now. Honestly didn't consider any real life reference on any of this but form follows function always tends to make stronger fantasy as well as stronger designs:)

Looking at the stairs more, I am not sure my nits are correct for these stairs. These have an open shaft down the middle which would change how one could fight on them. But I am also not clear how they are supported above the first floor.

The inn looks incredible but I have a couple minor nits. - Multi-floor spiral stone stair cases like this would not have been cobbled. Each tread needs to be a single stone slab because, except for the lowest treads, they are hollow underneath and so there is nothing to support the cobbles. The treads are both tread and ceiling. - Spiral stair cases almost always spiraled up clockwise. This was done to make them more defensive for those defending from above as right handed weapon use is more effective if your hand/weapon is on the outside of the spiral. This is an inn and not a castle so it could be an exception but exceptions were rare from what I understand. But it still looks really cool!!!

Thanks for the comments Jeremy:)

Really like both the building and furniture. Great work!

Well modest Texan Proportions at least:)

Thanks Alex, and thanks for the push on this concept.

Thanks a bunch Lisa:)

I'm running out of boxes and shelves as well:(

I agree, hopefully it will catch on:)

Thanks Nancy:)

Thanks Charles and thanks for the Help!

I'll have pics of my test prints of this in about 2.5 hours when the last part comes off the bed. It's pretty awesome.

Oh Yah! Texan proportions...

Yellow Sign Studio

Wow - I’m speechless! That inn is awesome! I’m going to need to 3d print an add-on to my house to be able to store that thing!

Richard Sorden

The 1/3 wall really shines with this type of building. Really looking forward to what you've got in store for the future.
