Regarding the Poll...
Added 2017-09-30 20:08:07 +0000 UTCIt's weird to have issues with the poll after just a day of having posted it but I already have issues with it so here we go:
With the last Image Pack, when chosing the characters suggested for the poll, I thought "Im just gonna do only one character per franchise" to give it more variety. I... couldnt do that for this poll. Most suggestions, even if they were different characters, shared a franchise. Like a looot of people suggested Sonic characters. Like most of the suggestions were Sonic characters. So far 3 Sonic characters are winning the poll lmao.
And I dont really wanna do a poll thats like, mostly characters of one franchise. I thought "last time no Sonic characters won, so maybe this time only one will win" or something. And I extremely don't wanna do what's essentially going to be a "Sonic Image Pack and I guess also featuring some other characters" lol.
I thought maybe it was gonna even out eventually but around half of the patrons have already voted and its pretty much stayed the same?
"Why didnt you just do one character per series?" The poll is supposed to have 20 characters (by some arbitrary rule I made in order to have the most options possible for again, variety). Had I sticked to just one per series, I would've barely made it over half of that. Even if I added the characters I'm not comfortable drawing, it wouldn't have been enough.
So I guess what Im saying here is:
- Should I redo the poll, with one character per franchise even though it means there's going to be less than 20 options? Or maybe 2 per franchise? Like have SOME sort of limit.
- Should we redo the suggestions so there's more franchise variety? But I wouldnt discard the previous suggestions, just add them all up to have more to work with.
- Should I just "whatever, it's fine" it and just roll with whatever the results for this poll might be?
Again, feedback is extremely appreciated. I'm doing this post because I'd much rather have a do-over if you guys give me the go ahead instead of just going all "its my image pack im gonna just change it whether you like it or not". While I do the art and sell it through here and other places, the Image Packs are built upon Patreon feedback, and that's something I really appreciated about the previous pack.

Well I already said that Ill just go ahead with the regular results but I also said that the issue was that I wanted diversity so doing a sonic image pack was entirely against what I wanted lol

2017-10-04 04:46:06 +0000 UTCYou could have it that only the top-voted character of any given franchise is eligible. Like, even if Sonic characters took the top 5 spots for votes, you'd only use the top Sonic character and disregard the others?

With that in mind, it means that if we voted a character, it's because we wanted them to be in the pack, but we never had to "sacrifice" a vote for another character since we weren't limited. That way, adding a character limit per franchise doesn't cancel our votes. I think for this one, character limit is the way to go.
