Another progress report
Added 2023-08-07 17:48:13 +0000 UTCHi all. Writing during the middle of a weird, tough season in a weird, tough year, but wanting to give a heads up for what’s happening on here in the immediate future.
First up, we are rolling out a new feature this week for the $10 level. If you’re subscribed at that level, look for that feature very soon!
Otherwise, there won’t be any Patreon-exclusive content this week, unfortunately, because I have to leave town to tend to some personal business. However, there is more coming, including the following:
A new Backdoor Pilots (the final Married With Children backdoor pilot). It should be going live this week, but I need to be elsewhere.
A special public feed episode about the TV show Barry, focused specifically on NoHo Hank. It will be somewhat spoilery, so we are encouraging anyone who thinks they might enjoy this show to get through it first. It’s a quick watch of only 32 half-hour episodes, but fair warning: it is a show about a hitman and there is much higher body count than there is on most shows we do.
A Cartoons That Made Us Gay about Tiny Toons, since the new one is debuting very soon. (We will get to TigerSharks after that.)
Another ranking episode for the $10 level (topic TBD), since the Frasier one did very well for us and brought in a decent number of new patrons. Hi, all. We love you and thank you for your support.
A new video about Punky Brewster, Gimme a Break and the trend of 80s sitcoms about orphans.
I’m aiming to bring the show back in mid-September with a two part episode that is unlike anything we have ever done before, and I’m super excited for that. And have otherwise got a big fall planned with major shows including Ellen, Sex in the City, Mr. Ed, Rhoda and more.
It probably won’t affect anyone here, but we are rolling out a new subscription program for Apple Podcast that will get people who aren’t on Patreon access to some bonus content. It will be more expensive than Patreon, however, and this will remain the cheapest place to get the most content.
Gayest Episode Ever is slowly but surely getting its episode pages populated on IMDb, which doesn’t really mean much but which is kind of cool. I have an IMDb page, just like Beverly Archer!

Y'all are very prolific and I can tell you work very hard on this podcast. Your conscientiousness and dedication to getting things right is truly admirable.

This has, no exaggeration, been the toughest year I've ever had, and it's just been really hard to do basically anything. I'm hoping it won't always be like this, but it means something that you've remained a patron despite less output overall than I would have liked.
