Your Suggestions Needed for Weirdest Episode Ever!

So it looks like Weirdest Episode Ever won the vote — not by a lot, but by enough that we feel safe calling it. So the plan is for us to get going on the episodes next week, with the first chunk of the 10-episode season coming out before the end of year and the second half in 2023.

We have ideas about what we should cover for this mini-season, but we have not finalized the list. What weird episode of a classic episode would you like us to do?

Moonlighting s5e1: A Womb with a View. It’s hard to find an episode of anything weirder than Bruce Willis playing a fetus in a story that ends in a miscarriage.

I've become obsessed with "musicals where there shouldn't be musicals" so like...there's an episode of Moonlighting that's a musical...and all of Cop Rock. Oh, and that episode of Glee where they do Rocky Horror and absolutely botch it.

Just sitcoms? If not I'd nominate Once More with Feeling, the musical episode of Buffy.

OH! And Ambush, the E.R. Episode they did LIVE? Like, LIVE LIVE. I remember watching it. So weird. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambush_(ER)

I barely watched Charmed but there's an episode where Shannen Doherty's character gets possessed by a demon or something and turns into a man called MANNY HANKS https://charmed.fandom.com/wiki/She%27s_a_Man,_Baby,_a_Man!

Moonlighting “Atomic Shakespeare” - I had to look up the name and maybe it’s not a super weird episode, but I remember it being weird watching as a kid with my parents. Facts of Life “Seven Little Indians” - also maybe it’s cause I was young but I remember just being like what is happening watching this episode - also it was kinda scary for a little kid! Friends “The One That Could have Been” parts 1 & 2. While not necessarily super “weird” it was fun to see a what if/alternate reality version of the show. And it was very different for the show. Saved by the Bell “Mystery Weekend” also maybe just cause I was young, but felt like it was all “real” and I was surprised by the reveal - it was the first time I had seen a murder mystery episode and the whole thing was just such a fun ride when you were experiencing it for the first time not knowing what was happening! and also made me love murder mystery episodes!

I am aware of this episode! I actually would be down to hunt this down and evaluate it for how weird it is

“A Very Brady Episode” of a show I never watched, but happened to catch that night called Day By Day. No one really ever mentions it, but it stars the actor who eventually plays Greg in the The Brady Bunch Movie and may have spawned the movie project. It’s a fun Brady dream romp.

There's the final season episode of The Dukes of Hazzard where an alien visits Hazzard. Season 7, Episode 15. Hanging With Mr. Cooper did a Wizard of Oz like dream episode in Season 4, Episode 6: "Ghosts in the Machine."

I mean, Fraiser has always done very well for us...

There are so many Community episodes we could pull from

Community’s “Remedial Chaos Theory” is a fun one.

obligatory frasier suggestion– sliding frasiers and freudian sleep come to mind!
