GEE Movie Club for September: Addams Family Values
Added 2022-10-13 01:39:00 +0000 UTCHello and welcome to the penultimate of GEE Movie Club. I have to apologize for this 1) getting up so late and 2) this being recorded without the customary "share your thoughts and memories" post, because we just got very backlogged and the month is almost have gone already.
And yeah, I made the decision to kill GEE Movie Club as a bonus podcast, for reasons I explain in the episode and which I may elaborate on Patreon later. But don't worry: something better is coming.
You can, if you choose, share your memories here and I will still read them — just not on mike, obviously.

I once did an Addams Family themed couples costume (Wednesday/Wednesday's geeky boyfriend) -- which, frankly, should have raised a red flag that this relationship was not great for me.

2022-10-13 20:30:59 +0000 UTCThe funniest part of Anjelica Huston's second memoir, to me, was when she witheringly shaded Jimmy Workman, the kid who played Pugsley, by calling him "a contented, plump little soul...but not what I call a deep searcher in life." Which gives me an image of Anjelica trying to discuss the latest Kazuo Ishiguro novel with an eleven-year-old between takes and deeming him hopeless when he wouldn't look up from his Game Boy.
