I don't know how I missed until now that you guys covered this movie! I adore everything about this movie, so much so that I made my own custom version of the board game -- https://www.therpf.com/forums/threads/clue-35th-anniversary-film-edition-first-real-custom-attempt.336288/ I hope to spruce it up before the 40th anniversary. I reject any reboot, mainly because the vast majority of them are too damn bad to sit through.

2022-06-14 17:38:54 +0000 UTCThis was a fun listen. I first saw Clue when I was fresh out of college, during its original release in the theaters. The newspapers advertised pretty clearly which ending each individual theater was showing, referred to by letters or numbers. I went with my parents, both of whom enjoyed the board game. All of us were fans of Warren, Brennan, and Kahn, but came away from the showing underwhelmed—probably because our ending happened to be the Mrs. Peacock one, which is probably the least comic of the three. It wasn't until the film found its footing on cable that I ever saw the third, best ending and discovered a real love for the film. I think the breathless farce of ending three is essential to regard Clue as a classic.
