GEE Movie Club coming Monday (plus a question)
Added 2022-04-09 18:04:10 +0000 UTCHi all. Due to a last minute scheduling thing, we're going to record the Maid to Order episode of GEE Movie Club on Monday, posting later that day.
But a question: Is this something you'd all even want? I ask because the film isn't streaming anywhere and because we ripped the DVD and posted it on our Vimeo, it's basically the only place anyone could watch it. However, Vimeo tracks views and it looks like no one has watched it.
I bring this up not to complain or anything, but because our goal with Patreon exclusives is to give you something you'd actually want — some value for the dollars you're donating, but I get the sense that GEE isn't it.
Is it? Do you all care? If it's not it, what would you want instead?

Although I often watch the media AFTER listening to your episodes so I can recognize what you reference. Also while I contribute on Patreon I almost never use it because I don’t like Patreon’s format. I especially never listen to the Patreon exclusive pods because I hate their player. Admittedly I am an older than average listener so I patiently wait for anything to show up on apple podcasts since that is what I know.

2022-04-10 16:13:54 +0000 UTCI haven’t seen it, but I also haven’t seen most of the episodes of TV you discuss and it doesn’t bother me. I also like the way you guys talk about stuff. I also don’t make time to watch movies much. If you happened to discuss a movie I already know and love I’d be really excited, but listening to you talk about a movie I haven’t seen broadens my cultural knowledge in a way that is fun.

Finding time to watch a movie is tough with my schedule, especially if it's not something my wife is interested in, because most of my free time to watch stuff is spent watching stuff with her. But podcast listening time usually happens when I'm doing the dishes or commuting to work or whatever, so I'll happily listen to an episode of GEE discussing a movie I've never seen and probably will never see. I just like how you two talk about stuff!
